Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Asheville River Arts District

I just had a not-so-good experience with the AC. The room temperature kept going from cold to somewhat warm during the entire night, regardless of the temperature setting. It seemed like the thermostat wasn't doing a good job sensing the room temperature. Besides that, everything was great.

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good, but the location was not near the ma8n area of the River Arts District, and getting there was very confusing. We had to drive to the restaurants and exhibits which was not as expected. Staff was unhelpful and young, and not always at the front desk when needed. Breakfast closed before the posted time.

The elevator makes noises and vibrates. I didn’t feel safe. Told the staff about it and she said that it passed inspection.

The front desk staff was very helpful, and the property was conveniently located within a couple of miles of everything we wanted to do. They also had a shuttle service on certain days that would take you downtown and pick you up. I would definitely stay there again.

The TV remote did not work properly and all the channels on the list were not available. When speaking with the young man at the front desk as to why the local channels were not available to watch the world cup, he just said I needed to watch it on my phone. Would not book there again... wouldn't recommend.

Shuttle service

Good location, shuttle on the weekend to downtown was nice. Comfortable bed.

It is looking a bit rough around the edges but nothing that detracted from us having a great time. Hotel was clean and comfortable with an basic breakfast and decent sized rooms. Minutes from downtown and all the city has to offer.

Location is central to downtown events, hotel parking not convenient at all as it is adjacent to building. The hotel shares a property lot with another business directly outside of doors. Room could stand a bit of a deep clean, wipe off walls and check for curtain replacement needs. Breakfast was great and staff were very friendly.

Check in was smooth and room was very clean. Looking forward to staying here again.

Newly renovated, lively space

Country Inn and Suites sits in the middle of the Asheville metropolitan area. The approach from the west, through heavy traffic, makes for a sense of relief as you near the property. The front desk welcome was genuine, and the room was ready even though we were early. In the adjacent mall, we found a well-stocked grocery store and an interesting, large pottery centre with beautiful items for sale. The adjoining Mall had three restaurants, all boarded up with signs indicating either relocation or total abandonment. The CVS pharmacy had a foreboding entry and a heavily armed guard -- a surprise to an Australian visitor.

Location Everything else

Enjoy each stay. I usually request the top floor. This time I didn’t and I heard everything going on above me. Not sure if the person was just heavy footed or what. Other than that I would recommend to anyone looking for a clean, safe place to stay.
