Hyatt House Austin/Downtown

There is a club behind the hotel that thumped so loudly half the night and street racers woke us up revving and squealing their tires very late. That is a problem if that’s not the vibe you are going for. The pool was cloudy and uninviting. The air con was struggling in the lobby and halls but not in our room, thank goodness. It would have been much better to stay out of downtown and drive to the event since you have to pay for parking either way,

Honestly it was like an apartment, complete with pots, pans and dishware.

The room was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast seemed a little light even for a hotel but not too bad. All in all, I'd stay here again.

We loved our stay. The room was extra large. There is a full sized microwave and dishwasher. A mini fridge including separate freezer area. There are glasses, dishes, flatware (including steak knives), pots and cooking utensils. When I realized they used down products, the staff was in our room in 10 mins changing things out for us. They only have Valet parking which is $45/day but it doesn't take long to get your car and most of them are very helpful. They have a little shop where you can get drinks and snacks, tv dinners and other things day or night. The pool is small, but they state that on the website. They have a safety feature I liked. You have to use your room key to use the elevator. We didn't get up early enough for breakfast.

The hotel was clean, quiet, and the staff was helpful. It was located within a ten minute walk to the Texas State Capitol and a short Uber to U of T Austin. The complimentary breakfast was excellent! Loved the steel cut oats in the morning. Lots of others breakfast staples available also. And the coffee can't be beat! Be aware though that the parking in Austin can be costly. It was forty five a night at the hotel and around thirty five in the surrounding parking structures. Uber and Lyft is probably the best way to get around and the Waymo robo-taxis are everywhere and easy to ride. For location, price and convenience to tourist spots and dining this hotel is the best choice. We would stay again. Thank you!

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Our room was sparkling clean and the beds really comfortable.

Attended a concert and the hotel was very ideal and within walking distance for the commute to and from the concert which was also a plus with being valet parked and not having to worry about parking.Staff was super friendly and welcoming…Rooms were clean. Plenty of breakfast available for all guests staying at hotel.

The lobby was really clean and the staff was friendly. The food was okay, we ate at the bar and think it could have been better. Room was acceptable, but there were dirty spots in the shower
