The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel

I planned a quick getaway to Austin for the weekend. I enjoyed that the hotel was in downtown walking distance for the night life. In addition, it was easy to get to Barton Springs Pool.

Loved staying at this hotel and love how they have preserved such a historic location.

Quick overnight trip to Austin and it was the perfect location. The pool and hot tub were not very clean but the rooms were clean

Great location! Close to everything downtown. Everything about our room was excellent. Roomy accommodation and great bathroom with vanity area. The restaurants and Happy Hour offerings were all great. We really enjoyed sitting at the bar terrace.

Perfect location for someone wanting to stay in downtown Austin. The staff was one of the best hotel staffs I've met in a long time.

Great location just down from the Capitol and near a lot of very good restaurants. Very polite, helpful staff. We upgraded to a junior suite and were not disappointed. Very spacious with a large sitting area and two bathrooms. Wonderful water pressure in the shower. The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

Awesome hotel with great attention to detail with beautiful architecture. Staff was lovely and the bartenders were lot of fun to visit with! Would highly recommend and would stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a beautiful building. The staff were very helpful. The room was amazing and clean.

Super friendly staff, clean rooms. Nice hot shower. Soft towels. The restaurant was super delicious. Only complaint was the hot tub was not being tended like it should have been. Other than that, I would absolutely stay again and would recommend it to friends and family.

It’s a beautiful historical building with the comfort ie-est pillows and bed. Super convenient location especially for film or tv festivals. Unfortunately there was no real fridge or microwave. The fridge that is there is like one that used to hold drinks however it’s so small that my go-to box from Roaring Fork didn’t fit. I had to put it on its side to get it to fit.

Valet was very attentive. Bar staff was very friendly and provided great service. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

The Courtyard was beautiful - loved the balcony views of it & to pool area!

Check in was easy. Room was nice and neat and clean. Didn’t receive the vip drink. Wasn’t sure if i needed to ask. Close to everything and a quick uber ride to every where.

The staff was friendly and enthusiastic. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Austin.
