The room was neat, clean, comfortable and historic. Every member that works there is the absolute epitome of what hospitality is supposed to be. Every single person there goes out of their way to be helpful. Parking can be a challenge, but with that said the are enough spaces. Shout out to Jason the night staff, what a great guy. Breakfast is an unbelievable experience. Ruthie our server makes service an Olympic sport of which she win Gold everytime. We drove 2,180 miles just to stay here for our 36th wedding anniversary! That's how great this place is.

Other family in Bloomington for the wedding were jealous when they found out we were staying there. (Even the local residents) LOL This will be our go to place to stay from now on.
-
I was not there very much as I was visiting family, but I was very comfortable and had no problems at all.
-
Great place to stay and walkable to most things. Breakfast was great each morning.

It is a really cute boutique hotel (not a big chain) with wonderful warm and welcoming staff. Keep in mind that this is an older place with lots of history. The place is well maintained and clean. But it is not 100% perfect like a big chain. We were surprised by how quiet it was. The place was full when we were there. We could hear guests opening and closing their doors, but everyone was very respectful of their neighbors. You get a different treat (cookies) every day and they are delicious. Breakfast is awesome. Some warm options, different kinds of breads, yogurts, fruits. Plenty of parking spaces. Walkable to downtown where you have many food options for lunch or dinner. The only negative was the AC is a bit loud. Not much of an issue for us because we are used to live without it but those who can’t pick your poison(heat or noice 😉) Enjoy your stay there. For us, it made a great difference in our stay in Bloomington.

Was perfect location to walk to both the university and downtown.

This was such a neat place to stay! Cool historic buildings with large and fully modern hotel rooms inside. Good breakfast and free cookies in the lobby. Staff was friendly and helpful. Walking distance to campus and late-night food options. They have one parking spot with a Tesla Destination charger so I got a free overnight charge for my electric car. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bloomington!

Charming old house with lovely host staff and a wonderful breakfast
-
Close to everything - town, campus. Location can be an issue for some. On busy weekends, it can be loud because it’s close to downtown.
-
Ask for iron board twice. never received it.

The cold breakfast, the dusty bed.
-
General environment. Access to coffee and breakfast. Friendly staff. Sitting on balcony. High price. Some maintenance issues in room 60. Missing screw on fridge cover door handle. Small leak in bathroom faucet.

This was my first stay and I was simply delighted. The property was lovely and full of charm. The rooms are each unique which is a bit refreshing compared to standard hotel stays. The common spaces are quite enjoyable whether you are journaling on the front porch by the fountain or watching the sunset from a rocking chair. It's very walkable to local food, shops, and downtown. Ruthie serves up a wonderful breakfast with delightful conversation.

It is quiet. The other guests are pleasant. And breakfasts are consistently good. The outside lights on the accommodations across the street from the main lodge were too bright.
-
The staff made you feel welcome. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. Being so close to campus and downtown gave us the ability to leave the car on The Inn’s property, and walk around. Even when walking late at night, you felt safe. The free breakfast was a plus and the kitchen staff were exceptional.
