Canalview Hotel Ter Reien

Staff was very friendly. Location was short walk to Center Square ROOM SIZE: = no place for luggage. I had to set my luggage in the window, which obstructed my view of canal. BATHROOM= Wet bath not very comfortable or hygienic TELEVISION= Only stations in Dutch. Absolutely no news stations, not even BBC. Had to use translator to understand. Then most of the time, the television programs were "not available. The worse tv amenity in all my foreign travels & we travel a lot. BREAKFAST= Nice staff, but poor breakfast selection & preparation. LUGGAGE STORAGE= A nice offer to store, but absolutely no security, anyone can enter the room & take your stuff. Room is unmanned. UNDER CONSTRUCTION= Lots of unfinished hallways, stairs, etc.

Our room was absolutely beautiful right on the canal, with restaurants right across the street. I enjoyed the property

Really unique property. A bit of a walk from city center, but I think that’s an asset given how busy and popular Brugge is. The only thing I might recommend is a short semi transparent curtain in rooms on the canal. The heavy curtains were lovely but blocked all light. When I was in my room during the day time tour boats went by often (which was no problem, they were quiet) and I would have like to have been able to have more light without giving the tour boats a view into my room.

Toilet seat was broken, it had a tiny crack that once you get up there was pinching

Room entrance direct from the street and there is no any carpet inside the room. So you should go in dirty shoes inside the room and floor becomes very dirty very cold floor. Heating is weak, the first night we should sleep in extra cloths. Cause on the bad heating there was high humidity in the room I won’t back to that place.

Canal view was nice. Good value for money Breakfast was very limited. only boiled eggs a few more basic items.

Perfect location, just around the corner from the big parkade, easy walk to restaurants and attractions. The staff was accommodating, the room was clean and quiet. Right in the courtyard, and direct access a nice outdoor sitting area. The beds were fine and decently comfortable. The breakfast was great! Stayed in the courtyard room. While overall the room was fine, the bathroom window didn’t have a covering, meaning you could see another room’s window.

Very good location with easy access to the local area. Bus stop outside right hotel was very useful. No on-site reception staff for check-in. Property could do with some updated decorating.

Heat and barhroom door

Quiet hotel on the east side of downtown Bruges. About a half hour walk from the train station. Good location for adventuring Bruges by foot. Plenty of shops, restaurants and sightseeing within a 15 minute walk. Beautiful time of year to visit Bruges as the towers, churches, and buildings (many with a mid-evil vibe) are all decorated and lite for the holiday. The Christmas markets are also open so a great opportunity to do some holiday gift shopping. There were no staff available at any time so good luck getting questions answered. I never talked to anyone with the hotel during my 3 day/night stay. That seems pretty weird.
