The hotel has undeniable strengths: the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is superb with some wonderful cafes nearby However, these positives were overshadowed by the behavior of some fellow guests. A recurring and unpleasant issue was the lack of basic hygiene, most notably that the toilet in our room was frequently left unflushed by other occupants sharing the facility. This, combined with a general lack of diversity and a few unwelcoming interactions, made the overall atmosphere feel uncomfortable.

The staff and the owner are the reason I will continue to go back to the Gypsy. They make you feel like family and anything you need they will do their best to accommodate. Every time I go there I run into others who have returned and it makes for a great atmosphere. That I wasn’t able to stay longer

Really nice location, pool, chill rooms and places to sit. Beds were comfy and had curtains. The room had mice and mice poop because there was a hole in the lockers. It is a party hostel so loud music comes on at 10 am.

The Tipsy Gypsy Hostel truly stands out, and I don't think there's a better place to stay in Canggu. If I ever return to Bali, I will 100% stay here again. Highly recommended!
