Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA - Near Legoland

Nice & clean room with mini fridge/freezer.

It was okay the towels was kind of cheap, not enough

Main problem was that the room wreaked of smoke. Had to leave the door open for a could have hours to air it out. The air conditioner was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep. Cosmetically, the bath tub finish was peeling off. And it would have been nice to have coffee in the morning inside our room. Laundry had been left outside our door when we arrived and nearly in the way of us getting in and out. That’s about it! Room smelled like smoke . Noisy air conditioner on and off all night.

Bathroom smelled like old piss. Saw one cockroach in the room.

Overall this was the WORST I have ever experienced at a Motel 6, Filthiest, smelled awful food left in the refrigerator, old dirty Q tips, linen ripped, mattress-stained mold in bathroom. The parking was unsafe, I stayed here back in 2022 and OH Man this place has gone to the gutter since then. There was no way I could bare the smell and stay here ln these unsafe conditions with a pile of trash and bags right next to the staircase, left shortly after checking in... never again

Motel is close to Legoland, has a Pool, and easy to get around. Pool is NOT a Heated Pool and Pool Hours should stay Open longer around 10PM or longer so in case if people go to Legoland and get back in time to still enjoy the Pool. They should have a Jacuzzi. While Booking for the Motel and putting my information on how many adults and children they should have had a Question or asked if I wanted a NON Smoking Room I put down I have a 3 Year Old Toddler and they gave me a Room that was a Smoking Room and the Room stenched like Cigarettes and I saw burnt marks on the sheets. There were NO shampoo or conditioner NO small amenities. This was NOT good for First Time Stay.

Disappointing

I wasn’t even 10 minutes into being in the hotel and I walked into the restroom, there was little roaches all over the floor and on the toilet paper. And I walk out to wash my hands and there’s roaches on the floor by the sink as well. I brought it up to the person at the front desk and she said that she’d come and check out the room because I asked her if I can get a different room she did not come so then I went to the office to go ask her what’s going on and she said she’d be there as soon as possible and she never came. Terrible service. I’d rather stay across the street and pay a little bit more.

It was kind of loud.

The border in the bathroom was peeling off. For the most part, the rooms were clean. I loved how they had smoking rooms because I'm a smoker. And it was very close to Legoland.

Arrived late and office was very helpful. The room I stayed in was very quiet and clean. Will definitely there again.

it was better than I had thought it would be. We stayed at here because we were doing legoland . Convenient and cheap. only thing was the trash can outside our room was just piled up but other than that a couple burn holes in the blankets but still kept us warm lol

Great staff thank you for making my stay so easy

We ACCIDENTALLY booked the wrong type of room. We were told by the morning staff they would fix it but when we checked in they did not. The front desk worker was rude, handed me a can of spray to remove smoke from the room. While I had the spray- all of 5 min- he called the room phone 4 times to ask me to return it. It felt unsafe.

I did fill out the report that was left in the room but I’m sure the housekeeper through it out. There’s bed bugs there. I have photos as well and left my phone number but no one called. I have bed bug bites all over my feet and hands. Also they never mop the rooms, my son’s feet were pitch black after 30 minutes of us being there I had to use baby wipes constantly to keep his feet clean. It’s gross. I know they don’t mop because I’ve worked in these hotels before all they’re required to do it sweep. CAPITAL G R O S S I’ve stayed in so many motel 6 in bad areas and this didn’t seem like a bad area but Southern California obviously doesn’t care about being clean because this was the first time in my life I’ve encountered bed bug bites. I stayed for one night. The hotel is okay for a 1 night emergency stay not for a couple days with family and kids

My daughter and I have been here for about a year and everyone is wonderful here!

Close to beach Room walls had ketchup and phone had ketchup stain on it. The tv was blue. Ac didn’t cool very much
