Valet staff very helpful.

The beds were absolutely terrible! The mattress was an old worn out spring mattress! Really the only problem with our stay was that we could not get sleep on the horrid mattress!
-
The furniture was worn and stained. The coffee area could only serve one person at a time, comfortably. The Staff was very nice but not very well schooled on customer service. I don't think a receptionist should stop in the middle of checking me in to answer the phone, except to maybe say "please hold". She then proceeded to give directions to someone while I'm standing there waiting.

Beautiful location and very cool venue. Room wasn't ready when we arrived (at 4pm), and the valet brought the wrong car when we were trying to leave.
-
It was amazing! Very good location. Big room.
-
hotel overall was ok, it is older and the furniture is very dated. The bed was very squeaky. However, the service was good and the location can't be beat! For the price and locations I would stay again!

Can't beat staying right on East Bay if you're visiting Charleston. Our room had charm with exposed brick walls and wood floors. It was a very comfortable room. For the price we paid compared to others, I thought it was very reasonable.

Overnight stay for business meeting. Excellent location and close to all of the major Charleston destinations.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and very convenient location

Great location
-
friendly polite service, valet was great. The room was large and very cozy and the fireplace was a nice touch. The location is fantastic, easy walking distance to the water as well as meeting, market and king streets. There are plenty of restaurant and bar options close by. The only downside was the room blinds did not block out the street lights so the room was quite bright when the lights were turned off and there was quite a bit of traffic noise from east bay street.

Hotel did not provide a Hair Dryer It was a loft room with spiral staircase leading to master bedroom

Every aspect of the stay was outstanding. Suite quality and location are perfectly Charleston. Personal service delivered was exceptional and refreshing.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is close to almost everything. They have limited parking spots. We tried to leave the car at the valet when we checked out so we could walk to lunch and they gave us grief for doing that.
-
Location is the best in the city! Wonderful service and great front desk staff! Beds are high off the ground, so you have to use a step to get on it and we only had the steps on one side , for 2 of us.
-
Enjoyed my stay greatly. Just need to get a tv in living room area.
-
parking policy after checkout required to move car immediately.

Was not at all satisfied with this hotel We had booked a room with a fireplace and balcony The room they gave us had neither. When I showed them my confirmation papers saying that I was to have a room with a fireplace and balcony. Their response was that they never promise that and hotels .com should never have guaranteed that. However, they did change our room but he room was dirty and we saw 2 cockroaches. When we complained about the bugs we were told that they try to keep it under control by spraying and "would we like our room sprayed now". So, that was managements response. I would never stay in that hotel again. Too expensive for such a dirty place and management really has no concern for pleasing it's clients.

Saturday night, after 10:00pm, the people in the room above us were unbelievably loud. We called the front desk twice to ask the staff to intervene. During the second call I stated that if nothing was done I would go up and speak to them myself. I was told that was my "prerogative." I did have to go upstairs since the noise continued unabated. I asked the parents to stop their children from jumping off the beds onto the floor. Unfortunately, the noise continued off and on until midnight. There are many wonderful hotels and inns in Charleston and we will find one of them for our next visit.
