Residence Inn by Marriott Chattanooga Downtown

My complaint is regarding Expedia. We booked a one-room suite through Expedia. Upon reaching the hotel, we were told that Expedia often "oversells" these rooms and our preference was not available. However, the hotel offered us a studio suite with free parking as compensation for the mix-up. So, we worked it out.

Rooms were very clean !!!! Plenty of parking!!!!! Location was very convenient to all downtown events !!!!! Definitely would stay there again !!!!

I definitely would stay here again. Great property, great staff, and great location. Only one elevator, but it was never crowded. Breakfast was very good. Parking was easy. Room was well laid out. Full fridge, mini range, and microwave. Very enjoyable stay.

The staff was phenomenal from start to finish. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Chastity at the front desk was especially exceptional. She greeted us by name and provided helpful information during check-in that made us feel immediately welcome and taken care of. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for our family. Parking was easy to navigate, and the location was excellent for exploring downtown Chattanooga. There were only a couple of issues that kept the stay from being perfect. The couch in the living room area of our suite was torn in multiple places and showed significant signs of wear. It was also extremely worn down, to the point that when you sat on it, you practically sank to the floor. The other issue was a device mounted on the bedroom ceiling near the bed. It appeared to be some type of detector, separate from the smoke detector, and throughout the entire night it emitted two very bright flashes of light approximately every 10 seconds. The flashes made it incredibly difficult to sleep. Traveling with a toddler, getting good rest is especially important, and this was unfortunately a significant disruption. That said, it was otherwise a wonderful stay. The outstanding staff, comfortable accommodations, convenient parking, and great location made for a very enjoyable visit.

Great hotel. Staff courteous. She even learned our names and spoke every time we left and returned.the location was great . We literally walked everywhere. Very clean. BREAKFAST AMAZING!!

The lady at the front desk Renee was amazing. From the moment we arrived she was kind engaging and helpful. She checked us in quickly and took time to answer all the questions we had about various attractions. She even gave us a listing of all of the restaurants within walking distance and provided some coupons. Every evening when we came through the lobby she asked how our day was and if we needed anything. I had trouble sleeping one night and she provided an extra mattress topper and comforter to help soften the bed. She definitely made us feel important, comfortable and safe.

Perfect place to stay for a two night stay. Small but efficient. A slight make up stain on the quilt was left behind so we gave a 4 instead of 5 of cleanliness.

We loved the location and amenities. The breakfast was huge and yummy! Being able to have our dog with us but not feel like the place had dogs staying there before made it feel clean. The big beautiful windows you could look out were great. We walked to the Southern Belle Sunset Cruise, to get ice cream, walked the dog, sat by the firepit outside on fenced courtyard, walked to the market place to see tents set up selling items. The indoor pool was wonderful too! We loved that it was a smoke free location (I had asthma) but it was not monitored well. We couldn’t sit outside the last day because people were openly smoking next to the fire pit for a while.

Nice, quiet and clean views of downtown plus breakfast was superb. The menu changed both days and they were good!

Spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with good breakfast a block away from the riverfront park. The room even had kitchen appliances and a separate seating area from the bedrooms. The shuttle to the downtown is right across the street.

Only recommendation, is the mattress on the pull out couch was too uncomfortable to sleep on.
