The lobby leads to two hotels: Club Quarters and River Hotel. I had booked with the River Hotel but was placed in Club Quarters. It wasn’t a big deal to me. Overall, I would stay here again!

Room 1806.The front and support staff was wonderful, compensating for the housekeeping staff. No daily garbage removal; no towel supply; beds unmade; store purchase of toilet paper; bathroom uncleanness. I tested the tipping protocol on 6-20-2026, only to find the beds unmade; wet towels in one bed; and my $10.00 tip gone.

Rooms are very expensive but very small

Best price downtown. The self serve water bottle station by every elevator was also very convenient.

Our room was clean and attractive, although some aspects could use upgrade/replacement such as the bathroom (especially the shower) and carpet. They have television, but no movie channels, only a suggestion and instructions on how to stream from another device, which didn't work for my phone. I therefore suggested that they provide better TV options for guests. They have a nice workout room with treadmills, but again, the HD TV on these had "no signal." Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, a perfect location for experiencing downtown Chicago.

I asked for a king bed but instead it was to full size beds put together to make a king

Clean, helpful staff. Close to the river and all downtown amenities.

I booked a suite. It was on the 40th floor. The elevators only go to the 38th floor. Then you have to walk up two flights of a tiny spiral staircase with your luggage and the room is right beside the elevator closet so every time the elevator is used the brakes knock very loud. So there’s no sleeping. Would have been beneficial to know this before hand.

Very small room, great sheets and pillows but stiff and squeaky mattress. Some mold in the shower. Carpet had a few stains. Fairly quiet up on the 23rd floor where my room was. LOVED the chilled free water station by the elevators and the coffee pods in the room, my room was actually missing the coffee but I called the desk and some were brought up rapidly. Very pleasant check in woman at front podium.

The staff at this hotel was excellent. From the front desk to house keeping, service was great. The rooms are well designed and equipped with modern features. The design of the room was well thought out with having the guests in mind. I highly recommend the deluxe room if you are on a family vacation.

EXCELLENT LOCATION AND CLEAN ROOM
-
Rooms are a bit depressing with only one window but they are comfortable and straightforward forward. Recommended for any one on a budget.

The staff was amazing and very accommodating.

This hotel is in a very good location for exploring downtown Chicago. It's very clean and has a very nice but small lobby. My only complaints are 1) the check-in process requires guests to make their own keys from a kiosk which was the last thing I wanted to do after a long drive in heavy traffic; 2) the rooms are a bit worn and need a refresh; 3) the river view rooms face the Trump Tower which has his name written large enough to see from space.

The location, the historic building

Location was perfect, check in smooth and staff very helpful Room was tucked in a corner next to the laundry with two small windows one of which faced a wall. It was only for one night so not a problem but might have been if staying for longer.
