The Bower Coronado

This is my second time at the Bower. My first time it was amazing and I knew what to expect the second time around. Let me say , it was even better! The staff , amazing ! Everyone was super kind and helpful, I wish I could remember their name ! Room as expected is a bit small but super comfortable bed, toiletry top notch, cool decor ! Very relaxing ! 2 things I wish I had done more is 1) having dinner at the Dive restaurant on the roof top ! Just lovely , great food , nice ocean breeze . 2 ) sitting downstairs by the firepit ! I brought my computer downstairs, sat by the firepit , super cool ! And the staff ( the nicest) offered a rose’ or sparkly water ! 10/10 !

An excellent location across Orange Avenue from the overly priced and too busy Hotel Del Coronado. Stay at The Bower to enjoy all Coronado has to offer at a reasonable price. Don’t miss the rooftop Dive Bar experience. Exceptional eats, drinks with a perfect uncrowded sunset view.

Superb

The hotel is ideally located on Coronado, very close to the main street and all the shops and restaurants. The hotel staff were very helpful - including helping me extend my stay as I chose to stay on the island rather than head back into Downtown. It is very close to the beach and the (albeit modestly-sized) gym is well equipped. Electric bikes are available for free hire. I only ate in the roof-top restaurant once, but the food was good and it was great for a sunset drink. There was a bit of confusion when I checked in and was given the key to someone else's room (who was in the room when I went in...) - but it was very quickly sorted. The room was very nice and comfortable, with a great shower, but was a little on the small side.

What a posh little retreat the Bower is! For a romantic weekend or business stay, this is the perfect spot. The coffee/tea service in the morning was my favorite. I can’t wait to stay again.

The hotel was perfectly adequate though the rooms were extremely small with only a small amount of space to move around the bed. There was absolutely nothing 5 star about it other than the beds, sheets, and towels that were very comfortable

The Bower lets you ride their e-bikes for free to explore Coronado. We got to see a lot of beautiful sights. The rooftop restaurant has great food and cocktails and the staff is top notch. We took enjoyable walks through the neighborhood and on the beach. We were not expecting their parking fee.

Everything!! Love the area close to everything… room was beautiful.. The way we got welcomed was amazing love the staff.. Theres no vending machines!! the Dive closes early for some sodas but so glad the gentleman in the front brought a coke to my room!! i really needed it for some pills i had a migraine..

Location was amazing, staff was excellent

The staff seemed genuinely friendly and attentive. I felt very welcome the entire time. The beds were comfortable, I liked the decor of the room, and I appreciated the blackout curtain. The towels were large and plush. The pastries and coffee (with four types of milk) were such a nice touch in the little lounge area down the hall from our room. The rooftop restaurant, The Dive, had a great atmosphere and food. I would highly recommend staying at The Bower. Everything felt well-appointed and luxurious other than the quality of the toilet paper. I would also recommend not filling the refrigerator with so many bottles for purchase. We had to take them out to make room for the food and drinks we brought. Lastly, it's always a good idea to offer at least one black washcloth because even when you take off your makeup, there always tends to be a little makeup that ends up on the pretty white towels when you dry your face.

My stay was good, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean. The area rugs could have used more attention and vacuumed more. As a guest, I would have appreciated the option of self parking rather than just valet.

Had an excellent experience at the Bower Hotel! The service was exceptional from start to finish, and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. A special thank you to Manny, the manager at the Dive bar, who went above and beyond my expectations to make our experience unforgettable. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality truly stood out. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

The room was missing many items so I had to call to get these brought up. Last day - I asked to extend checkout until noon the day prior to our departure. the front desk associate said that would be no problem. I came back around 11:10am from breakfast and my card had been deactivated so I just went to ask for it to be reactivated. The desk associate was so indifferent, like she couldn’t care less, and then proceeded to tell me she could not reactivate my card? Then just looked at me like that was it. She honestly could not grasp the idea that I still needed in the room to get my bags. So I had to wait for yes, the valet attendant, to let me in the room. He was so busy doing 3 or 4 other jobs, it was just a racket.
