While the old house is extraordinary, and the built-ins beautiful, the furniture (bed, dining table, and the knick knacks were average (e.g., a rcok on the bedroom windowsill & Kleenex box on the dresser). I was disappointed with breakfast--I expected a really nice breakfast, common to other expensive B&B's I've stayed in...an egg dish, pastries, fruit, etc. I got just an egg dish. Meh!

Amazing breakfast and helpful and friendly owner. A must stay if you are game to explore the cool neighborhoods NW of downtown Denver.

Very nice location. Very safe and easy walking. Nice coffee/grocery store kiddie corner to inn. Great restaurants a short walk away. Also users are accessible. Was a good experience for us.

Everything about this property is incredible. The building (the house) is amazing. The architecture of the house is beautiful. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The breakfast that Joel creates is delicious. This is our 2nd time here. Joel is really a terrific person. Our room (The Colorado Room) which we have stayed in twice was perfect. We will stay here as many times as we are in Denver.

Our first experience with a bed & breakfast stay. Great neighborhood location, beautiful and historic home (built in 1800's). Joel was pleasant and helpful, and we had fun wandering around the mansion and exploring, when we weren't off walking around the Highlands.

Check in was easy & we walked the house & property immediately to take in its beauty. The neighborhood is walkable to any style food you want, stores, bars & even ice cream. I knew of most of the history but they had no idea where I'd booked so walked in unaware of the history. The VS has no A/C so beware of staying in hotter months. The HMS has AC & that's where we spent the majority of our time due to the incredible space as well ...and that's when the fun began. I expected an experience in the VS but everything happened in the HMS. We heard whispers & a female voice so we started recording on our phones & got specific answers to questions. It was everything we hoped of a haunted location stay & more. I definitely recommend bringing a K2 meter, voice box & some cat ball lights. The beds were very comfortable & sleep was easy. Breakfast however is where we were in awe. It's INCREDIBLE!! I had the croque madam with potatoes as did my sister & my niece had the waffles. Just WOW!! Honestly the best B&B breakfast I've had to date. Overall it was well worth it to stay here even if you're not a person who is into the supernatural & want to experience the elegance of history. I will be back!!

Beautiful place!! we went down to spend the night and go to a concert in downtown Denver and we had a great time! Lumber, Baron Inn is a great place with awesome character and so beautiful inside and out.

Amazingly gorgeous and quirky room. The ceilings were amazing. Close to our concert and fun activities and shopping. Delicious breakfast. A perfect getaway!

The location was convenient to family living in the area. It was a beautiful house. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast excellent.

Incredible place. Checkin hours are limited but was given good instructions to self checkin. As an old Victorian house it didn’t feel very warm and friendly arriving at night. But owner was very warm and friendly when we met up in morning. Breakfast was excellent. Neighborhood lovely.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful historic building! The neighborhood is charming and safe, and the jacuzzi was absolutely perfect for relaxing after a long day. Highly recommend!
