Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Lauderdale 17th Street

We stayed at the Embassy Suits with family for 2nights 3 days. Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean. Breakfast was amazing. Beautiful grounds. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Kathleen at the front desk was phenomenal! We arrived very early for our stay, and she was able to get all of us into our rooms within an hour! The hotel was very busy with basketball and baseball tournaments, as well as World Cup soccer, but Kathleen was calm, kind and patient, and handled anything and everything that came her way with grace and professionalism.

I am writing regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Unfortunately, my experience was significantly impacted by several unresolved issues throughout my visit. For the duration of my stay, the Wi-Fi was unavailable in my room, preventing me from using a service that was advertised and included with my reservation. Additionally, the television in the bedroom never functioned properly, leaving only the living room television available for use. Most concerning was the air conditioning unit, which leaked condensation throughout my stay. Hotel staff had to enter my room on multiple occasions to vacuum up water using a shop vacuum. Despite these repeated visits, the issue was never fully resolved, causing ongoing inconvenience and disruption during what should have been a relaxing stay. The night before my departure, I attempted to speak with a manager regarding these concerns and possible compensation. However, my request was dismissed by the front desk, and I was not given the opportunity to discuss the matter with management. I chose your hotel expecting the amenities and comfort advertised, but the combination of no Wi-Fi, a non-functioning bedroom television, and a persistent air conditioning leak substantially diminished the value of my stay. Given the extent and duration of these issues, I believe compensation is warranted and respectfully request that you review my stay and provide an appropriate adjustment, whether in the form of a partial refund

Bathrooms were out of date! Breakfast wasn’t bad but French toast seemed undercooked/rushed due to guests amount. More seating needed and quick table turnarounds for guests tables. Parking was horrible! More valet parking spots open that guests who wanted to self-park could have used.

Hotel was beautiful The service I received from the young caucasian male at the front desk. And multiple time housekeeping knocked on my door during to lack of communication with the front desk but each time they knocked saying “housekeeping” I asked for towels and they said I had to call housekeeping. I was confused. But the older Caucasian lady at the front desk was amazing.

Older hotel but has charm and the rooms were well kept. Clean hotel and great for access to the port for cruising. Shuttle service for the port and beach are available.

Location was alright I know it’s Florida, but it just seems like this location heavily embraces the swampy, damp, dankness of Florida. The hotel smells like cigarettes and wet carpet. Once I walk into my room it smells chemically (perhaps a cocktail of bleach, ammonia, raid or something along those lines) I did my regular wipe down and didn’t see any creepy crawlers. And then…I walked out to the living room and saw a cockroach prancing across the wall. I killed it. Called the front desk and they sent the maintenance man. He came didn’t seem concerned at all, spread raid, then left without saying anything. Freaked out I proceed to check the mattress for bed bugs and found two stains and dirt on the mattress. I’m freaking out. I go to the front desk and show her a picture of the dead bug and she’s a bit more empathic but doesn’t seem phased. She asks me what the maintenance man looks like. I describe him and she then goes to the back office to find him. She comes back and says she will change my room from 718 to 717. I ask what they typically do when a customer complains about a cockroach and she says “we normally kill it and move the guest room a new room”. That’s such a shame and will not cut it. That makes no sense to me because the cockroaches obviously call this hotel home. I told her that’s not going to cut it and she offers $100 off. I’m still not happy so I quietly go back to my room to quickly gather my belongings because there’s no way I’m sleeping there. It’s about 1am and I get to the front desk to checkout and there is now a man there and I tell him about my experience. He doesn’t care. I ask him for my bill and he says he can’t tell me until they complete their room audit. Sounds fishy so I say thank you and begin to exit the premises. This brand of hotels will never have my business and I will be disputing any and all charges placed on my credit card.
