Hilton Garden Inn Fort Wayne

I loved my stay. I had my daughter’s 10th birthday party there. The day was absolutely wonderful and I only had two issues. One was that you had to make sure if you wanted breakfast included that you got that package. And two I didn’t appreciate the picture of the bathroom not matching the real description. Other wise everything was perfect.

I didn’t like the fact breakfast wasn’t out to just help yourself.

We ended up in a handicap room to where the shower was hand held only. Very odd.

Great place and great people

The property upkeep was not equal to the charge. The carpet was dirty with spots. Around the tub was dirty. No tissues in the bathroom.

Air conditioning was very loud. no ice on 2nd or 3rd floor. Out of order signs looked very old. Asked for more coffee and sugars 3 days in a row, never got them. At one point I was told they ran out. But when I walked by the cleaning cart it was loaded with coffee sugar and creamer. ( No I didn't take them from cart) When I signed in they said I had to pay a $25 deposit, This is after my non refundable $600 was already paid. The staff was very friendly but unfortunately they never followed through with the coffee. A lot of little thing but enough to make me never go there again.

Relatively clean No towels in my room and when I went down to get them there was only a half hearted apology. Pretty disappointed and made me then question what else had not been done to make the room ready.

The stay was ok. We were visiting to see family. But for the price, it was not very nice. The room smelled musty/bad. The bathroom was not the cleanest. The sheets looked old. But the bed was comfortable. The pool didn’t work. We weren’t going to swim but I can imagine it would be disappointing if you had kids.

Hotel was booked online inadvertently for the wrong night and I was told they would cancel the reservation and refund me the charge. I did rebook for the correct night and we stayed there. I have emailed the GM twice and have not received a reply. I’m happy to change this to a 5 star if someone would help me out.

The location was good. Closes to several coffee shops, restaurants and other stores. Very bright and spacious more expensive than I'd like. offered breakfast but it was going to cost $14. I was charged $25 in addition to the room (which I'd already paid for) for "incidentals" which the front desk staff informed me was "in case a member of your party ate breakfast or something like that". Really?

The key cards were not working

Conveniently located to the city. No walking, but driveable. Keyless entry was down as well as the app the entire stay. We had to be escorted to our room each time we returned at days end to be let in to our room. No regular coffee, only decaf. “Waiting for their delivery”, no brand water, Gordons food service wholesale club bottled water. Room service was every other day, which was never mentioned. Came back to the room and no clean towels, no bed make up, trash etc. Had to request clean towels since no service. Ended up leaving early due to the hassle. Justin was nice. Oh, half of the ‘Hilton garden suites’ lights are out. Looks tacky as h*** from the main streets and interstate. Not good overall. Felt like a very neglected property.

Spa pool was clean and worked well. Booked king bed. They told they had no King beds available for me. They gave me a room with 2 queens beds instead.

It was perfect for what we needed it for

Breakfast is alright. The rooms are okay. Everything is clean. It was a perfectly okay stay. The staff were great, dining was a great experience in terms of service and food quality. For the price of the stay per night, though, it was underwhelming. Not bad, I never had a bad experience.

Location A posted sign and menu announced dinner starting at 5. When we arrived and sat down, no one came to us. When asked, a registrar said, sorry no one is here to make dinner tonight. Photo attached. Maybe change the sign? Offer dinner suggestions?
