Family run hotel. Peter and Saskia are exceptional hosts. They provided excellent and highly personalized service. They serve their guests breakfast including home made jams and freshly made eggs, fruit and yogurt and of course breads, meats and cheese. Really great breakfast selections. Excellent location. Large clean room. Highly recommend staying here.

The staff was just lovely and the place is centrally located

The owner is an extremely nice person. Very helpful and kind! This is how a family-owned business should feel! The bathroom could use an update, especially the slippery bathtub, which makes getting out after showering a bit of a safety hazard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owners were so friendly and kind. Breakfast was lovely and beautifully presented. We felt like honored guests. Close to all the things youd want to see in Heidelberg.

The host was amazing! He greeted us in the parking lot directed us to the best place to park our vehicle. He assisted with carrying our luggage up the stairwell to the lobby. He also assisted us in the early morning hours when we were leaving to Frankfurt. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow but nothing that was concerning.

There was a roach that crawled around the bathroom the last night I was there.

This was the best breakfast we had in our 14 day trip through Germany. Personal service with eggs to order was pretty special. Extensive buffet, but the individual service with coffee to order, eggs, etc. was “old school” and quite nice. Rooms were good. Fortunately we got there when there was an open parking spot in the hotel lot, which is very small. The “Anlage” is kind of a side street off the main street and there is some street parking and I believe there was indoor parking ($) across the street as well.

The location was great! The breakfast was wonderful, especially the homemade jams. The staff spoke both German and English, and all were very helpful. We will stay here again if in the area. I would have dressed warmer for the night; the room was cool for me.

What stood out to us among the many positive aspects already mentioned in these comments is the exceptional proprietor. In a small, family-run hotel he is an important figure, and his always-cheerful demeanor, helpfulness, attention to detail, knowledge of the city... All of those things that can turn a good stay into a great stay were omnipresent. To him we send a very sincere, "Thank you for everything."

The location is a few minutes from the main shopping and restaurant streets. The breakfast was great. Everything was clean. No complaints. The bed was comfortable, the bedroom and bathroom were clean (even using an UV light). Power outlets are easily available next to the bed, bring an adapter if you need one. The heating is not on yet, it was fairly warm but a little cold at night. I live in the desert southwest in the US so it took me a few days to acclimatize. I probably would not have noticed I've I'd been in Europe for a few weeks. The duvet wat warm enough so I was not cold while asleep. The property has an small elevator so you don't have to drag your luggage to the 4th floor, but the hotel is not accessible because you have to go up stairs to get to the front door. It's an old building that has been upgraded internally, making it accessible would be a major undertaking. Not an issue for me, but be aware.

The owner went above and beyond with accommodating my requests. The room I initially got didn’t have a desk and I got moved to another one. The breakfast was great and included home made jams and fresh bread. Everything was great. Maybe the pillows/bed could have been a little more comfortable, but overall it was a great experience.

There were some hairs on the bed upon arrival. It seemed like the duvet covers and pillow cases collect fuzz and hair, so while I’m sure they were washed, they seemed unclean. There were also a couple spiders in the room.

Location, friendliness, and cleanliness. Very old fashioned, which was great.

No coffee maker in room

Great host with great advice for our visit. Amazing breakfast included. We needed distilled water for our CPAP machines, he had in on hand and just gave us 3L for free. Walkable to everything in town. Nothing!

Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. The man who runs the place is extremely helpful with directions to visit various places. I hope to return.

Very good location. Very nice staff.

The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I was in the area to hike, and the owner gave me some tips on where to start my hike, as it had rained the day before. The breakfast was excellent and well worth the money. The facilities and room were quite standard and nothing out of the ordinary, but the staff made the experience unexpectedly great.
