Legend Hotel Hollywood

The room was cute and the location was great, but the room was not clean. The floor definitely hadn't been mopped. There were shoe marks on the floor and dust all over the baseboards. The bathtub had either mold or grime around the edges, and the telephone was caked with some sort of goop. We asked for wipes to clean the phone and were told that they didn't have any. They didn't offer to clean it, so we used hand sanitizer and did it ourselves. When we checked in, we were asked if we wanted upstairs of downstairs. We asked for downstairs, but they should have mentioned that they were putting new flooring in the room next to us because they were hammering, yelling, and cursing all morning which woke us up very early. We went to the lobby to see if they had coffee and were waved off and told, "we don't do that." The manager banged on the door and made us move our car in the middle of the afternoon. The parking is free but is very hard to get in and out of. The price was great and it wasn't horrible, but unless they pay attention to details and shape up their customer service, I wouldn't stay again.

The staff gave us keys to a room that already had people currently staying in there, we then switched rooms. But it’s very concerning if this is common practice and is worrying if they have other people access to your room card. You don’t know if they might steal your stuff or will be honest. Parking was a nightmare. The is not included and you have to pay extra when you check in, and will not tell you that it’s full, they also did not refund us for the parking or offer any help. We were forced to park 2 blocks down the street and pay for additional parking. We only stayed one so it was manageable. I couldn’t imagine staying more than one night.

I wouldn't recommend it at all; plus, when I made my reservation online, it stated that parking was included, yet at the establishment itself, they charged me for parking again.

Very nice hotel front desk staff. Property is well maintained compared to all the other hollywood hotels. We would come back again.

I travel to Hollywood quite often and always stay at the Legend. It’s like my home away from home.
