Samesun Venice Beach - Hostel

Fantastic location, right next to the beach. We booked a private room with an ensuite bathroom and had a view of the ocean from our room. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Doors/walls are thin so use ear plugs or bring a white noise machine, but that's to be expected, even in a nice hotel. Excellent value for money. Staff was very friendly

Shocked at how amazing and clean this place was. Super easy check-in and a safe space to sleep

It was the first time I stay in a hostel, I had my reserves and as soon as I stepped into the building all of them disappeared, “Blue” in front desk was cool and smooth, clear and funny speech, cozy common areas, the bedroom was clean and perfect, the washroom was shiny, breakfast was simple but solid, accessing the building was great, location was super, I certainly will be back to “The samesun, Venice Beach” Cheers

It is located on a party street with many homeless people. Does not feel safe at night. Personnel were not nice and the bed was super hard. Window into concrete wall. And last but not least the price is absolutely outrageous for what you get. (we stayed in a private room)

The location is close to the beach The staff were not very helpful, and the breakfast was poor. There was no secure place to store luggage, and parking was very difficult.

Loved that it was right by Venice Beach boardwalk, close to good restaurants, the beach, the skate park, Muscle Beach. The room, though basic, had its own bathroom and was very clean. I didn't know I'd have to climb 3 flights of stairs with luggage--challenging, if not for kind patrons. The free breakfast was very basic--all I had was fruit, tea, and toast. Not even cereal. Somewhat seedy (but not dangerous) area.
