Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Macedonia, OH

The hotel is passable, but it's been "rode hard and put away wet", for lack of a better description. Halls and our room smelled like old smoke, rust stains on the tub and leaking faucet, a couple odd spots on the sheets, and the breakfast can hardly be called such. For the price and judging by the pics, I expected something a little better.

The room was outdated, and I noticed stains on the walls and crayon marks on my door. My blackout curtains did not cover the full window, so my room was filled with sunlight at 6:00 am. Unfortunately, the person above me was walking around for 20 minutes at 6:00 a.m., which was very annoying. Also, heard a lot of doors closing around 6:00 a.m. too. Overall, it is a decent hotel, just outdated. I'll need to bring a white noise machine next time.

The staff was wonderful and the breakfast very good. One of our rooms did not have room darkening shades and it felt like people from the parking lot could look in and the full sunshine woke them up at the Crack of dawn. Also, we could hear the people above us walking on our ceiling.

It’s basically clean and the staff was nice. The mattress was comfy. The air was moldy in the room and smelled strong pool chlorine in the hallway. There’s a big patch of different color on the ceiling.

We arrived to a less than happy to see you attitude in our receptionist. When we got to the room there were a few issues. There was no shower curtain. This was resolved with a phone call where said receptionist handed me one and I had to install it myself. the security viewer in the door was blocked with what appeared as paper. Left it alone. The bathroom floor had no grout in the tile. and the tiles moved , some being cracked. When I mentioned this to another ineffective receptionist, all she could tell me is that there is a new owner and that renovations were scheduled for October. That the previous owner had done nothing to improve the property in the past 7 years. Just a run down property with a poor attitude.

Price was high for the condition of the room. Plaster falling from ceiling in bathroom. A/C out in the lobby and hallway. Just a lot of little things not kept up in the bathroom.

AC sucked. TV hardly worked. So relaxing in the hot hotel room with unwatchable TV wasn’t fun. Wouldn’t stay again. For that price, should be better.

We were very pleased at our last minute choice of this hotel. Easy check in. Clean room and hotel. Nice pool. Staff was wonderful! Breakfast was just okay but sufficient. The hotel itself was just a bit "tired" but still very clean and maintained well. We'd definitely return.

Make sure to bring your own soap,shampoo,they dont want to give you much,this place is old,elevator is very slow.

Bathroom floor was not great. Mold in some places. Staff was loud in the laundry room in the evening. Definitely not sound proof rooms, but no road traffic. Breakfast was very limited.

The lady that checked me in was wonderful and very nice. The door by where I parked never locked and that concerned me, as the property was not secured. Walking through to get to my room with my children was unpleasant as the building reeked of marijuana. I understand it is legal in the state but I was not expecting to encounter it at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable - so the staff were great!
