The Wave Manhattan Beach

I arrived late check-in. There is staff 24 hours, very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The hotel is located in a safe area, within walking distance of several really good restaurants and stores, as well as the beach. There is $10 parking which is a reasonable price, most hotels are a lot more. The facility is quiet at night. There is a continental breakfast in the morning. All in all a very positive experience and I will definitely return the next time I am visiting Los Angeles.

Love the staff, the location and the place.

Our stay was pleasant. The rooms were very spacious and the breakfast was good. The only complaint would be towels. This facility had a shortage on towels or something! I had multiple rooms booked to accommodate our family and the rooms did not have enough towels for the number of adults staying. I asked for more and was told I'd have to wait until morning, and was given a stack of hand towels and washcloths in return. Then, the next day when the rooms were cleaned our towels (along with one that I had brought from home) were taken and NOT replaced. I had never stayed in a place that had towels on lock down!!

Room was clean, close to beach, staff was friendly, nice selection for breakfast. The only thing I wasn’t pleased with was the how firm the bed was. Besides that I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms arent the nicest but staff is nice and the property is clean. In an amazing location. Could not use the pool because it was too cold. It was great for what we needed

All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was nice but we found the floor dirty. Our feet were always black after walking around the room . We got fresh towels and garbages changed everyday but no other house keeping services through out our stay. Breakfast offered at the hotel is simple but good. Swimming pool is nice. They have laundry services which was nice.( bring your own soap) The area is nice, safe, quiet for the most part. Parking is good. Quick drive to manhattan beach and airport. Other sought after beaches ( Long Beach , Santa Monica ) are fairly close by as well. Perfect hotel if you’re going to SoFi stadium. Would return again

The hotel is in a convenient location near to downtown Manhattan Beach and the shops and restaurants near the pier. It’s also not very far from the airport either. The room was clean. The parking was well lighted and easy to access. The overall stay was very good.

It’s ok for last minute trip.

Room wise:! Towels are very old and some were beige instead of white, Definitely the mattress in room 219 need replacement asap. Other than that. Stay was great. 25 walk to the beach not bad and plenty of restaurants closed by

We loved the larger room options. We stayed here before before we left for a cruise and was about a 20 min drive to the port!

Pool area and sauna were great! Fold out couch not great, flimsy and sloped downwards 3". Everything else about our stay was quite good! Was able to find a free space open to park on street, otherwise underground parking for $10 was an option. Staff friendly and helpful.

The pool area was big but there were no towels provided. 1. The mold on the ceiling in the bathroom 2. The lack of towels. 1 per person with no exceptions 3. No towels in the pool area 4. Stained toilet seats

I booked to stay at The Wave and when I arrived I was informed that there was no room for me and I was moved into their neighbouring property The Pacific. The property was considerably more worn from the outside and inside there were no facilities and the rooms were average with a loud and hardly working air conditioner and the towels were so old and worn that the white was grey. The staff were not helpful with no explanation as to why my booked room was unavailable. The hotel was very noisey with the room above me housing a tap dancing team who clearly enjoyed their practice until 2am and then the cleaning staff woke me before 7am whilst yelling outside my room which appeared to be housed next to the cleaning supply room. Overall a very unsatisfactory experience and would not book either hotel in the future.

The staff was very kind and helped me with my booking issue. It was my own fault, but they were helpful and understanding - something you don’t see a lot of anymore.

Property is showing its age and due for renovation. Walls very thin…you could hear folks talking through the walls very easily. Towels old and dingy.
