Dunns Josephine Hotel

Really cute place but very sketchy area. Do not recommend going outside at night. Staff was amazing and room was adorable and unique.

It was a very small property only stayed one night. Front desk was very nice and helpful. Target and some other stores and restaurants were in walking distance which was nice. Overall a good experience.

The hotels very well taken care of the staff is great snacks in the morning nice breakfast peace and quiet I like to do in the area so it's recommended for me to others

The hotel and staff were kind, friendly and accommodating. Hotel was beautifully & historically decorated. Th free parking was awesome! The juice spot down the street was delicious. I would return!

Great place to stay wonderful staff

Very comfortable stay for one night. Deborah at the front desk was simply wonderful! She was friendly, welcoming, and made the check-out process easy and enjoyable before my cruise. Her excellent customer service truly stood out and made my stay even more pleasant. I would happily stay here again.

The staff was incredible and super nice. They made the stay worth it. Know that this hotel is not in the best part of town. There are only a few places to eat but the little greenhouse grill was amazing and well worth the stop. No pool or other luxuries but quaint and clean.

Bed was comfortable and the shower head pressure was good. Call in advance to see if there are any music concerts near the hotel. If so, pack ear plugs or headphones since you'll be able to hear every lyric if you're trying to sleep. Otherwise, cool interior design.

Would not recommend. Pay more stay somewhere else. Expedia customer service is of no help. They will ask you if you want to cancel at midnight and go look for another property.

No water access to drink, very outdated property, bathroom didnt look very clean

Extremely friendly staff. In room AC unit worked amazing allowing the room to get very cool. Bodega in walking distance. In room mini fridge and microwave.

The bayside marketplace (overlooking the water) is the place to go with Uber at night if you’d like to listen to live music, do some dancing, hang out in bars, buy some souvenirs/cute items, and/or eat dinner. The marketplace has various types of cuisine and drinks available. The fresh coconut juice place was amazing.

The TV didn’t work. They were doing some improvements but it’s a historic building that cannot have certain updates. Must carry luggage up 2 sets of stairs due to no elevator.

Property was under construction and unsafe in the main lobby Neighbourhood felt unsafe long walking distance to shops Staff spoke inappropriately about things guess don’t need to know about in their own lives All around uneasy feel spoke to Expedia about the refund. I was wondering about this hotel cuz I frequently hotels almost every week these days and I decided to check them out and I got to tell you for me customer service is top of the game and they take it a level high the stuff is great though any recommendations restaurant transportation I mean they're right there and if you need something extra they will go out of their way to help yourself I'll continue staying there I like it it's quiet it's peaceful I have friends that live in the neighborhood and so my hat's off and the Oscar goes to the style and how you need the hotel it is I love it

With all due respect to the Overtown community and its history, after making my booking, I had safety concerns - particularly about the parking and my 5AM departure. I attempted to cancel within a couple of hours and was notified that there would be NO REFUNDS

We arrived late at night and stayed for one night before departing for our cruise at 10am the next day. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and the hotel and our room was very clean. We felt safe inside the hotel but we didn't venture outside because the area seemed a bit sketchy and there wasnt much around it. We would consider staying here again for one night before our next cruise because of its close proximity to the cruise port.

I never received a receipt of my folio either, even though I was assured from the check in person that I would.
