Great location! Quiet and friendly staff!

We absolutely loved the size of the room and the location. It was perfect to walk to lots of locations and right next to the subway. The breakfast and snacks were really handy. We found our room was quite noisy (from outside sounds) but we think that was because of the NBA games which I'm not sure the hotel can do much about that.

Great value and location and nice amenities! Staff was helpful too

Location near the park. Small enough to feel like service was personalized. Quiet and peaceful. Rooms were slightly dated. Not much in the way of amenities.

Dated room with old A/C unit - could sleep with the noise. Tiny tv. No mini bar or services in the room.

Convenient, well maintained hotel

Hotel Giraffe is a very comfortable hotel in every way. It is welcoming and the staff is extremely helpful. We appreciated the comfortable beds (even the sofa pull-out bed) and the views and balcony. The continental breakfast offerings were above par including fresh, delicious pastries, yogurt, fruit, cereals and more. The cheerful staff prepared delicious coffee drinks upon request, and snacks were available throughout the day if desired. The location was close to a subway station as well as walkable to some highly recommended restaurants. The lighting in the bedroom was too dim for reading and made repacking a bit challenging. The glass in the bathroom door was not obscure enough to allow for adequate privacy.

Staff is kind and welcoming. Hotel is sleek, calm, and clean. Continental breakfast is a nice assortment and a good balance of self-serve and staff-attended. Beautiful clean rooms with wonderful balcony views. Lovely rooftop garden is a bonus feature.

I have stayed here for over a decade when I visit New York. It is one of my favorite hotels. Centrally located great rooms. Great staff and great neighborhood. Always welcomed back with cheer and never disappointed. Kjw

Since this is an older building it had some really interesting decor. Funky lighting and layout. Breakfast was very continental. They did their best trying to make it seem upscale but no matter how fancy the espresso machine is if the coffee isn’t hot then don’t bother! The staff were very gracious to heat my coffee in the microwave every morning. The location was central and had nearby subways. I was expecting to use the Juliet balcony and the rooftop. However, the noise and the view was less than stellar. No views. It was very annoying to have loud music playing on the rooftop in the evening. New York is noisy- depending on what floor and what side of the hotel you stay on will determine the noise level. Lots of construction. Weekends are noisy. Bring your earplugs. I think this hotel was overpriced based on the other hotels I stayed in for this trip. I was expecting it to be a lot nicer.
