Nice clean room, great location and good value. Stayed here for a conference in Soho and had no complaints. Great rooftop bar with amazing view. Would stay here again.

The staff that could see how my stay was not turning out well were very sympathetic and tried to make up for the weirdness. two young women at the front desk were rude

Location. Easy to find. Initially we got a room on a high floor, but the door/lock was loose and vibrating violently everytime staff opening/closing the door of next door. After reflecting this to front desk, we were switched to a room on 2nd floor next to linen room with window view of bunch HVAC. At this time, we were just relieved at least the door was not vibrating that impact sleep, yet soundproof was bare minimum. There was also layer of dust on desk surface. Breakfast onsite was awful: American breakfast was oily, the croissant from continental was soggy. 4 star hotel should do better.

The staff are nice. The room is designed very well. The rooftop view is amazing. Has a cute little coffee shop next to the lobby. Located near great food spots and bars. I booked a Deluxe King Room, which should have been one of the best rooms the hotel offered. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. When we first entered the room, there was a strong fishy odor. Even the bed sheets smelled the same way. Housekeeping came and replaced the sheets, which helped somewhat, but the smell never fully went away. My guess is that the A/C filter may be old or moldy, causing the odor throughout the stay. The rooftop bar was another letdown. The drinks were not good, and they served the worst Moscow Mule I’ve ever had. Check-in and check-out at the lobby were both extremely slow, and the coffee shop next door was underwhelming as well. Overall, the hotel simply wasn’t worth the price I paid. Based on my experience, it felt more like a 3-star hotel than the premium experience I was expecting.

Nice boutique hotel feel. Definitely like. House keeping missing to cleanup certain days. Did not like.

Overall we had a good experience at this hotel. We landed at 5am in NYC and we had tried to communicate our arrival plans and request either a paid early check in or for them to please keep us in the loop if the room was ready sooner, and my only complaint is they seemed a little dismissive the few times we mentioned it. We did not check into our room any earlier than 3. Other than that, it was a great hotel located in a very ideal location.

Great location and the room was such good value for it. Three of us stayed in one room and it wasn’t too bad at all, it was also so calm and quiet being tucked just off the busier streets! Staff were so helpful and the coffee shop downstairs was great. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely return/recommend to friends. We couldn’t use the rooftop bar as it was under construction but otherwise is was great!

Hotel Hugo location is excellent and it has an amazing Rooftop Bar. The downstairs coffee shop is also comfortable and has excellent service. The gym is nonexistent. It is located in a small stuffy room next to the hotel laundry. There is zero ventilation and should not be advertised as a gym. The towels are also threadbare, clearly not the caliber that the Hotel Hugo used to be 5 years ago.

Room was small and with view on a wall

I didn’t like the way shower was setup. The shower head could not be adjusted so you had to be in the shower and get shocked by cold water until you can eventually get your desired temperature
-
Terrible—AC was broken and staff not helpful
