The hotel is in a great spot by the 9/11 memorial and Oculus for transport links and the rooftop bar on the 20th floor has amazing views over the memorial and the nearby skyscrapers, it looked amazing at night with all the lights, loved the views from the open terrace too. I loved my stay there and the room was a decent size and the bed was super comfy also loved the fact you could help yourself to tea, coffee and chilled water at any time in the lobby, available 24/7. I had breakfast and dinner in the rooftop bar, the food was delicious but very expensive in my opinion for the portion size. Some of the staff at the hotel had a typical impatient New Yorker attitude which in the UK would be deemed rude but I know its just the way they are. I wont take the excuse that its the fast paced lifestyle when it was just me there when I needed help, I felt awkward and uncomfortable for asking sometimes. In spite of this, I would still highly recommend the hotel and would stay again but think the customer service could be better.

Perfect location for getting to my client's office. Great views in some rooms and close to the subway, restaurants, etc. Supremely comfortable beds and plenty of room to move around, given it's a NYC hotel room. When I checked in there was a wee bundle of hair in a corner of the bathroom and after taking off my shoes I stepped on something on the carpet that turned out to be a raisin (ick.) But cleanliness the following days was excellent. I love that the thermostat is easily controllable, but I don't love that the control panel lights up in the middle of the night as the light is bright enough to disrupt sleep.
