Holiday Inn Omaha Downtown - Waterpark by IHG

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I booked solely for the waterpark attraction, but I didn't have enough time to use it. The breakfast buffet was really impressive

I am not typically one to complain, but this has been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. As I write this, it is 10:30 PM and my family is unable to sleep due to a large group of children running through the hallways, stomping, beating on guest room doors, and creating excessive noise. After it continued for an extended period, I attempted to call the front desk, only to discover that the phone in our room was not working. I then went downstairs to report the issue and was informed that there was only one employee on duty and no security available to address the situation. Earlier in the evening, we also discovered that our room did not have a hair dryer. When I went to request one, there appeared to be an argument between the front desk employee and a housekeeper regarding the request. I was ultimately told someone would have to find one and bring it to our room. In addition, the condition of room 227 is unacceptable for a hotel charging approximately $300 per night. The bathroom floor is dirty, there is blue gel-like residue around the floor drain, and the caulking around the shower appears poorly maintained and unsanitary. The overall condition feels more consistent with a budget motel than a premium hotel. I understand that children will be children, but the level of disruption tonight is unreasonable, and the inability of hotel staff to address it has significantly impacted our stay. Perfect location! Staff was wonderful! The only thing our room was missing was a hair dryer, but luckily we didn’t ever need it!

Marcus at the front desk was phenomenal. He was very helpful and courteous. However while paying this much for our stay, one would expect the washers and dryers to be in good working order. The washing machines kept taking money. What should have been 4.00 turned out to be 8.50. Sadly the hotel is a cashless facility so getting reimbursed was torture.

Poor communication. Our flight on June 6th was cancelled. I tried to reach the hotel, to notify them that we would not be there on June 6 and I had no success. I was hoping that the hotel would consider waiving one night of our two night stay due to the reason of our cancelled flight. But there was no one to speak to about it. The phone just rang and rang. When we finally did arrive on the second day of our stay, they said we were a ‘no show’ on our first night. That is not true, I tried to contact the hotel and let them know why we were not able to check in. It was an unfortunate situation, I had been hoping to work through the issue with the hotel. However that did not happen

Also, there were 2 adults. The cleaning staff left 1 hand towel & 1 larger towel for showering. That was it. No samples of soap…..NOTHING I would not recommend this Holiday Inn to anyone, nor will we booking a room here again!!! You need to do better staff!!!!

A big draw was the fun pool for the kids and the fitness area for myself, but the fitness area really lacked variety of weights and both treadmills and elliptical were out of order. The pool was CRAZY high with chlorine that it stung your eyes just walking into the area, and the sinks in the room was poorly positioned during installation so everything on the counter got wet whenever you used the sink.

The whole 4th floor smelled like sewer gas and so did our room. I thought running water in the sink and shower would help but it didn’t. The pool and spa were closed so only the splash pad and slide worked. I’m not sure how a pool can be closed but my older kids were disappointed. No one said anything about this before we paid or we would’ve gone elsewhere. Room was clean and beds comfy. Nice to have frozen yogurt in the building.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was absolutely fantastic.

Room was dirty. Fridge hadn’t been cleaned, with sticky liquid on bottom and on floor. Bathroom sink didn’t drain. Dirt left in bathroom sink, as well.

Parking and dining is an extra fee and it was pricey. Pool/waterpark was okay.

Good place to take kiddos for the small water park. As far as the rooms go they left a lot to be desired. The bathrooms had surface mold & the paint was chipping off/ clogged sink and a faulty faucet. Definitely a 3/5

Everything Water park

The sink in our room didn’t drain well and for some reason we didn’t get any maid service. I had to go to the desk and get more toilet paper and towels.

I don’t have one good thing to say about this place. Would stay at a dump motel over this hotel.

Nice room. Hotel was close to everything we wanted to do. Friendly staff and the pool was nice and warm

Very busy but otherwise great
