Super 8 by Wyndham Knoxville North/Powell

Stayed a few days, and they never took care of trash. Friendly and helpful staff when asked for help.

I acknowledge that we were looking for cheap accommodations for one night. We were not expecting to be met with mold on the ceiling, a hint of smoke odor (even though it was a Smoke-free room), and a paltry breakfast (there were four slices of bread that could be toasted but no toppings, two kinds of cereal and a pitcher of milk that I was afraid of since I could not determine a Best By date). The outdoor pool looked like it had been closed for years, not that we wanted to swim. In a previous submission, I suggested Wyndham needs to send an inspector out immediately to protect their brand reputation.

Pool wasn't open it was still covered completely people living there, multiple drug deals in the parking lot and ROTTING FOOD LEFT IN MICROWAVE. AC DIDN'T WORK WELL

The place we stayed had burn holes in the furniture. Beds where not properly cleaned with hair and stains found everywhere on both beds and pillows. The bathroom had mold growing all over the wall and the toilet was stained along the rim with what looked like everything past guest had left behind. Not to mention the terrible smell that was a mix of dog and smoke.

Nothing was not light well and hard to find Dirty and felt like hookers stayed there. There was cigarette burns on the bedding. Bugs crawling on the front desk.

The dryer ended up costing me 10 dollars to dry one load of clothes

Convenient Need new towels and hand cloths. The sheets need replaced as well on the bed. You can tell they haven’t been replaced for many years.

The room smelled so bad and looked totally filthy. When I saw the room, I turned around and went to the front desk and ask for a refund.

This place is a hellhole. it has deteriorated in recent years. Never again.

The breakfast was lack of and they had toast but it only a couple slices they didn't have no fruit they didn't have anything warm

The location was good, that's it ! I would be ashamed to put anyone in the rooms we stayed in. Black mold - we're still sick; when brought to the attention of staff :"oh we're sorry" no offer of compensation The rooms were filthy, yet they had been cleaned . Paint pealing off walls microwave and fridge filthy inside Shelving fell off Beds had stained coverings Cigarette burn holes in blanket Chair in room was stained so bad we had to cover it to sit on it One of the rooms had a huge hole in the bathroom wall Dead bug and one live roach Non-smoking rooms smelled of pot smoke (I booked two rooms , both were horrible!) We had no choice but to stay at this hell hole because a music concert , and two college graduations going on in the area made it impossible to find other rooms , the Staff knew this and took advantage of the situation! The pictures you post on your website of the motel and rooms were the Epitomy of false advertising!! Not a safe area , cops showed up the first night to an altercation of some sort , unknown individuals sitting in cars throughout the night , just not safe ! One of our rooms had an entry door that was very unsafe , the bottom of the door could be pushed in nearly 4" , seeing into the room ! There's been no word from anyone at the hotel concerning a refund of any amount to compensate us for the horrible experience, even though the staff assured me there would be !! Not surprised!!

We didn't stay because it was so nasty and run down also had bedbugs

Checked in and there was hair all through the shower and the toilet was leaking. Woke up in the morning to a cockroach in my bag..can’t comment on the breakfast because didn’t stay long enough for that.

Honestly there was not much to like . I guess the location was good , in light of the reason we were in Powell. Our son had his College Graduation from The Crown College, a Bible College in Powell ,so that made the location great for the for our stay. The advertising pictures of the rooms were totally inaccurate. On your website the photos made the rooms look good,but that was not the case. The rooms , I reserved and paid for two , one for my wife and I , and one for my daughter and my son's girlfriend friend, had been smoked in . I reserved non smoking , they moved us but each room had the stench of cigarettes and pot. The carpets were stained and frayed. The bed spreads were spotted and filthy looking . The walls were dingy and the paint was pealing in spots . It wasn't until day three that I noticed the black mold on the ceiling as you come into the room. I wondered why my wife and I were experiencing sinus and coughing issues. Our Daughter's room had a huge hole in the bathroom wall when I brought it to the staffs attention they said "that will be an easy fix" but they went on to say that they had no more vacancies . Also the door into the room itself, the main entry door of the room where my daughter stayed , was in such bad shape that it was totally unsafe. On the first night we awoke to the shelf/cloths rack in our room come crashing down , with only two suits and a few clothes hanging on it. It had been secured with the wrong kind of wall fasteners. The fridge and the microwave were horrible inside . We saw mostly dead bugs , and only one living one . I will send pictures to verify what I've said.i mentioned to the man in charge on Tuesday morning May 5th 2026 about the mold and he said he would try the reimburse me for some of the cost , of the room charges since I paid $239.00 per room ,times two and he said he would call me that day to compensate for all of the terrible issues , but so far , as expected, I've heard nothing from the Hotel staff. I paid what amounts to $80.00 per night for rooms I wouldn't put a dog up in . I've stay in some pretty poor hotels but this was by far the worst.

Do not ever stay here!!! The rooms are dirty, dingy and disgusting. The towels were stained brown, the comforters had cigarette burns in the them. The bathroom was dirty and I’m pretty sure there was a blood stain on the wall and floor. The room stank of stale cigarettes and stale weed. Thankfully we didn’t have to spend much time here as it was only for one night.

We didn’t get the room we originally booked because they had too many reservations and not enough rooms so someone else got our suite. The non smoking room smelt like cigarettes and cat pee. Old pee stain on the white sheet on the bed.

Avoid at all costs. I rather sleep outside. Bed bugs smell of dog urine. I don’t think I need to continue. This place should be removed when looking for hotels!

We had online reservations and when we arrived to check in it took 30 minutes. Stay was all over the place no one was helping. Rooms were being pulled. They finally got us a room that wasn’t cleaned. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the room to be completely set up. The room it self was horrible. Starting from opening the door and walking in, it smelled like someone had just smoked, carpet wasn’t vacuumed, dead bugs on the floor, dirty sheets and pillow cases (had spots and tiny burnt holes), dirty lounge chair. To make matters worse, black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom shower, dingy towels and washcloths, and dried urine on the toilet seat. Just disgusting.
