Days Inn by Wyndham Roanoke/Hollins Near I-81

The room smelled of cigarettes although its supposed to be non-smoking. The towels were kids size. The staff is rude. Night clerk was unfriendly and the breakfast attendant is rude and non-personal. She did not want to let me sit with my wife because they closed breakfast although my wife was inside. I didn't want to eat just sit with her and that came with plenty of attitude. The breakfast area was a mess. Would not recommend.

Room was very clean as was the entire property. Bed was comfy, plenty of hot water in the shower. Great location. Staff was super friendly!

Free parking, clean floors, filthy windows, property was not kept up very well, we arrived at 2:30 AM and did not notice until the morning that someone else’s mascara and foundation were on the pillowcases and the sheets were dirty. There were thick dark stains on the floor of our hotel room and a straw stuck to the wall. The AC unit was causing multiple people to cough in the breakfast lounge and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in 2 to 3 years. The breakfast attendant was not wiping any tables when people were leaving and I watched several guests sit down at dirty tables. When I asked if she could please wipe my table, she wiped it with three quick strokes with a dirty towel and did not clean the seats. She seemed very annoyed that I asked her and continued to look at her cell phone near the juice dispenser. They did not even serve ice water for breakfast. The check-in staff at the front desk was very helpful and I did send a direct email to the general manager voicing my concerns. I had an itchy throat in our room and there was a very dank smell on the first floor. I would not use the pool. The cereal in the dispensers at breakfast was stale and there was no fresh fruit.

We were on the road, not sure what I was thinking when I booked the room - the photos are complete different promise I guess. We were tired and had to sleep lied on our spare clothing, we could not even touch the surfaces, immediately left the room as soon as woke up. This is not a hotel. Dont call yourself a hotel please.

This hotel was gross

I reserved 2 rooms for the night and they were filthy. Stains on the carpets and the rooms smelled terrible. The front desk attendant told me that the rooms were non-smoking rooms, but the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. We did not stay the night. The only thing I did like was the reimbursement of my pets. I did not like anything about this hotel. We did not stay the night. I should have known better when I walked in and the front desk area smelled old and musty.

It was easy to get to from the highway. Front staff was friendly My door did not latch at first and my tv channels did not work, kept saying internet not connecting . I went to front desk about door and tv. She fixed the door showed me how to work the tv but only two channels worked. The bed sheets were not soft and they did not fit the bed. They kept coming off.

Overall, everything was fine—just a small insect on the carpet and some stains in the bathtub, but nothing serious. Thanks!

Real nice for the price I paid

The lady when I checked in was nice The manager and security guard were very rude and refuse to let me bring my mother the complementary breakfast back to the room because she doesn’t walk well she is elder. They refused to give her any extra pillows for her swollen feet. After she practically begged them They made us pay an extra $30 for extending our stay check-in fee. But we already checked in very rude demanded clean room befor extending our stay and charging us fee that doesn’t exist ..wouldn’t recommend. very rude Spanish desk, worker, in colored security guard were the ones who charged us this extra fee on top of the $90 for the room on a Wednesday which it says clearly on their website that’s only 80 so 90+ the 30 you get it nasty people

Pets were allowed . I didn’t bring mine. Security was really nasty, very unwelcoming and unprofessional

Had a comfortable stay at Gateway Hotel. The rooms were clean, and the staff was courteous and helpful. The location was convenient, and the overall experience was pleasant, everything was good. Thank you for the hospitality!

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. My 5 night stay was relaxing and comfortable. Food was great, pool was great, the hotel “store” had a great selection at unbelievably good prices! Can’t wait to go back!
