Best Western Plus Hacienda Hotel Old Town

This place was awesome and I would definitely stay again. The staff was friendly and the property was clean and close to all the excitement.

Check in was not great, no convenient parking, they gave us the wrong room and it took too long to get the right room. Wouldn’t recommend staying here. Front desk staff was rude and lazy.

The room was great and was more like a resort than just a motel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok, but the cleanliness of the breakfast bar area, the plates, silverware needed attention. Parking was plentiful and easily accessible.

When we arrived after 4:00 PM, we were informed that our room was not ready. The staff offered us a different room and covered our parking, which we appreciated. We settled in, unpacked, and went out to dinner. However, when we returned, we were told that the room we had been given was assigned in error and was actually reserved for another guest. They did give us an option to move or stay, which was particularly inconvenient as we were traveling with toddlers. The hotel stated they would upgrade us to a deluxe room, but the new room was noticeably smaller than the original room we had been given. While the hotel did provide a dinner voucher as compensation, the dining experience was uncomfortable as there seemed to be an expectation that we provide a generous tip because the hotel had covered the meal. I appreciate that the staff attempted to make things right, but having two separate room-related mistakes during one stay created unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Moving rooms after already settling in is challenging under any circumstances, but especially when traveling with young children. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not think I would choose to stay here again.

We really love staying here when were in San diego. It's close walking distance to all the restaurants I love.

The layout of this property, (5/4 buildings housing the hotel rooms) was very confusing. It took us awhile after wandering around to find our room in the 4th building and not many staff around to ask. They did give us a map of the layout, but after traveling all day, having it after dark and us tired it was exasperating to say the least.

I initially booked for the shuttle but was surprised at this place. Take 10 minutes and explore the grounds. Every room is different and the multiple levels and views are great. Nothing to note

The sink was having fluid backed up in it and leaking all over the floor, I tried calling the front desk to let them know, but the phone was broken. I was already on my way to check out any house so I let them know. Both about the parking and the sink. The lady at the front desk just said OK thanks have a good day. No apologies. No let me comp your stay.! no nothing just have a good day

Staff was super helpful, room was clean and relaxing and breakfast was best I have been offered in a hotel.

Very disappointing. Had to call 3 times for extra towels and toilet paper. Paid $30 a day for parking and wasn't able to park in parking structure due to lack of parking but was still charged. Had to call a third party vendor who handles the parking issues so hotel was unable to reverse charges. Not impressed.
