All in all, it is a good value for money. Location is fantastic, staff are pleasant, and the place is clean. There is free popcorn in the evenings, water dispenser during the whole day etc. Their additional pillow collection is good. For me, the most important thing about a room is the bed, and here it was unfortunately not good. It was way too soft, my back started hurting immediately. Upon mentioning this to the receptionist, they added plywood between the bottom and the mattress, which helped a little but it was nowhere near enough. I asked about different rooms but they said all the beds are the same. Not only is it uncomfortable, if you sleep with a partner, it feels like a water bed. Every movement you make, your partner will feel and vice versa. It’s a shame, since if this was better it would be a 12/10 experience as a whole.

I loved everything about the hotel! The staff were so welcoming- knew us by name after a day!! The rooms were lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable! I loved the coffee and cookies in the lobby every morning- excellent coffee!! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thank you! Nothing

The staff are very friendly, especially the bellmen. Most of the he front desk are also friendly. This is like my 4th time staying here and some have been so welcoming. I did feel like one was disappointed to see me hahaa. It's ok, I get it. I try to be easy peasy but I usually do ask for a late checkout, which they do kindly accommodate but you usually have to make sure they write it down.. anyways, overall great place to stay for a few days when I come and see my son that lives here.

The location, the bed, the big room. A bit outdated. The staff wasn’t really helpful.

My stay at the Chandler hotel was wonderful ! From check-in to check out, everybody was very nice! Our room was very clean and all the amenities were available inside the room ! Also, it had nice tile floor no carpet. I was very impressed. Even the windows opened and a ceiling fan. !! Thank you and I will return !

Excellent location, very clean, friendly staff No air conditioning

friendly staff, great location, nice feeling of family managed versus big corporate hotels, room reasonably sized, bathroom on the small side but with a bathtub. Wi-Fi very unreliable. Rooms are not sound proof at all, we can distinctly hear the conversations in the next room.

I am sure we probably got one of the cheapest rooms in the hotel as the view was of the mechanical equipment and roof outside and the beds were 2 twins. We had reserved a better room but we arrived early and staff allowed us to check in early to Room 208. Still, it was wonderful. It is clear that whoever planned out the amenities and presentation was a woman as everything was so thoughtfully done. From the fresh baked cookies, water cooler and high scale coffee preparation machine in the lobby to the Qtips/cotton balls and pillow selection menu, everything was done exceptionally well. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and well organized. I was impressed that the AED machine was visible in the lobby right at the elevator/stair entrance. The cable car stop was right outside, the subway was about a block and a half away and everything went wonderfully.

A great place for the value and convenience. Very cute, old world charm, and a great location to take public transportation to all areas of the city. The staff was super friendly and helpful; the lobby offers cookies, fruit, water, an automated coffee/latte/cappuccino machine, and fresh popcorn. The only drawback would be the lack of air conditioning (which they warn you about); the fans made it bearable, but I'm not sure it would be if the weather was any warmer (it was no hotter than 70° during our visit, and the room got a little stuffy.) Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful! The location was also good!

The far above average friendliness of the staff (including the front desk support and bell boy/concierge), cleanliness, availability of in-room TV, USB/aAC and WiFi connectivity, availability of filtered water, coffee drinks, other snacks in the lobby, friendly lady at the bar, all made this an exceptional stay for me.

I rarely write a review but this hotel was at the perfect location, lovely room, staff was accommodating with my laye checkout due to a meeting. Room was a little on the warm side byr the fan and cracked window made it comfortable. Will stay again

Affordable and comfortable, with friendly staff and a great location. The hotel is a bit on the older side, but it’s kept clean overall. They go the extra mile by offering not only water, coffee, and tea, but also tasty cookies and apples in the lobby. Small touches like these can make a big difference when you're traveling. The room felt a little stiff, but opening the window for a few hours helped improve the airflow. Since my room faces a busy street, I could hear the noise from nearby events, so bringing earplugs might be a good idea if you're a light sleeper. Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for budget travelers and would happily stay here again.
