Coventry Motor Inn

I really enjoyed my stay and felt comfortable throughout the entire trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay. I would be happy to stay here again in the future.

Good

We stayed in a room on level 3 of the inn. It has a window view of the streets (so it was a bit loud). Everything in the room was clean and well-maintained. Excellent quality for the amount of money. I just wished that the hotel allowed for luggage hold while we wait to check in/room to be available.

Parking was easy

The room itself was clean, but the hallway smelled a bit like marijuana. May have just been a specific guest at the time of my visit though. Location is great for nearby restaurants

Close to the Marina, easy to locate, super safe underground gated parking. So many food options in walking distance all around. Definitely will stay again. Highly recommend.

The Conventry was clean, not so quiet. But it was a great location and walking distance to great restaurants!

The room was very spacious and nicely updated.

Safe parking (gated) parking, very comfortable bed and pillows. Rooms were clean, but the road noise was way too loud for me to sleep at all.

Free parking and good location

Even though parking is listed as an amenity, it is still very limited. So there might be a great chance you don’t find parking in their parking lot. So it isn’t ideal if you will be in and out from hotel.

Stay here all the time, great place.

I loved staying here, it was right in the middle of everything, which made it super easy to walk to the Warf. The parking situation was great we had no problems with that at all. When we checked in the front desk person was very helpful with pointing things out in the location, very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very well taken are of and very clean my group and myself were very impressed. I traveled with my family and in laws, so we had a stroller but it was so convenient to maneuver in and out the elevator as well as the hall ways. Definitely staying here again when I am back in San Fran. 10 out of 10 forsure! :)

It’s been refurbished-new paint, furniture, curtains, which is nice. The wallpaper in the hallways added much to the hotel.

The room was clean and nicely decorated with crown molding and a picturesque window. Loved the on-site parking.

The property was very clean. Underground parking was secure. The location was perfect for exploring the city.

Great location and can walk to Marina bars and restaurants. I was very happy with our room which was clean, looked newly updated and had light and airy feel. The bathroom was very nice with beautiful tile and marble. The bed was comfy too. Free parking was huge and overall this was a fantastic value for the location!

Nothing, this isn't a hotel to go to if you are expecting lots of facilities but ideal if you are looking for a hub whilst exploring SF.

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the hotel. I knew it was an older hotel and sometimes the photos don't match what you actually get. The room was beautiful. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable. Everything felt clean. The bathroom, I'm usually a stickler for, and this one met my expectations. The hardware had no water spots on it and was super clean. All towels were available and amenities. There were no odors. I liked that there was a refrigerator in the room and used glass cups for tea. Another thing that I loved is I couldn't hear anyone else in the hotel. There were people staying next to us and didn't hear them. Didn't hear any walking above us. Another positive, is that we were facing Lombard St. and it was nice to open the drapes and see the city life. I love that Peets Coffee was about a block away. I also loved Home Plate, which was about 3 blocks away and served a delicious breakfast menu. The marina was less than a mile away, along with Crissy Field, Presidio the Palace of Fine Arts. There were plenty of families having parties, picnics, athletes running, walking, biking. It was lovely to see people enjoying life. The hotel is located close to main attractions. We took an electric scooter to Pier 39 for lunch, although on Lombard St if you walk 3 or 4 short blocks up there are a plethora of restaurants and a Walgreens. There's a liquor store across the street for water and snacks, and it doesn't give any creepy vibes. Excellent stay, excellent location, and this is now my go to hotel when we travel back to San Francisco. Plus, parking is free and the garage was located underground. You needed a key card for the garage door to open, which closed right after you entered. My son and I felt completely safe! This was his first time in San Francisco, and the hotel was just part of the great time that we had. Honestly, I don't have really anything negative to say about Coventry Inn, I was more than happy with my stay. The only thing I would recommend is when we got there, main manager, a tall Asian man, was yelling at one of the employees harshly. There is a time and a place, and you don't have embarrassing conversations like that in front of guests.
