Cute kitschy hotel

The hotel was recently sold and under new owners. It was like taking a walk back to the 50's -70's..it was frequented by rock and roll bands. It shows alot of history. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean and smelled good. Even though it is located on a busy street it was quite.

I wanted to like this place. Price was great, reviews were mixed. I booked a two night stay and checked out after the first day. My 11 yr old found a used vape underneath the bed upon getting to our room. The walls were dirty, painted tile in the bathroom peeling, the restaurant onsite was closed (learned this right at check in), homeless people all around (outside) the property, walls were thin (crying baby in another room all bought), doors slamming all around us, toilet clogged twice, the list goes on. Thankfully they agreed to refund our second night since we left. I wanted to like this place, it had a cool vibe initially. It just did not meet the expectations. Bed was comfortable and they had cable, that was nice.

This is downtown hotel - stay wasn’t as expected since no microwave and refrigerator in room , parking was cheap through $ 25 compare to other hotels ,

The TV in the room didn’t work but honestly I don’t even care cause this place just makes you feel at home.

Everything about our stay was great but the restaurant and bar were closed unfortunately. Luckily we had some champagne we brought but no glasses were able to be provided. If the restaurant or bar was open 10/10

Pretty sure that couple broke up for good lol. Anyway, I will stay here again for sure! Also feels very safe

Staff here are so kind and helpful. If they hadn’t been so nice we probably would have left. It seemed liked maybe the motel was in the middle of a transition or changing owners maybe. The restaurant was closed and everything seemed sort of abandoned/neglected. Hoping whoever buys it brings it back to life- the style of it is very cute.

Stayed here for one night while visiting SF for a film festival and the staff was beyond warm and kind! A gentleman at the front desk (I believe his name was Orlando), upon finding out I was visiting for having a film at the film festival - was kind enough to surprise us with a bottle of champagne in our room! It was such a sweet and kind gesture that really moved us. This is a beautiful and very secure hotel that you can tell is maintained with such warmth, care and good vibes. The staff is all so friendly with a great attitude - and I only wish I would’ve brought my swimsuit - the pool area looked like so much fun! I’ll definitely be back! ? The area is a little sketchy but the hotel is very secure and the great staff makes up for it! ?

Cool place, cool staff. Cards weren’t working so we had to rely on someone being at the door to let us in which wasn’t always available.

In the middle of SF, this place is an oasis.
