Ideally located on Geary Street, just steps from bustling Union Square, the Theater District, and its world-class shopping and landmark attractions, this luxury boutique hotel is a residential-style hideaway in downtown San Francisco. Guests need to venture no further than the lobby for a taste of San Francisco. Indulge innovative Spanish tapas at the BOTA, or sample one of our curated cocktails at our bar, The European. A stylish gray sofa bed is featured in the spacious living room of select suites. Concierge services are available to help guests reserve priority seating at Aveline and other nearby attractions. The hotel was pretty nice however some awful pipework noise kept reoccurring throughout the night. We stayed for two nights and could not get more than a couple hours of sleep uninterrupted. The hotel itself was a very pretty building, great location to union square, friendly staff and excellent breakfast at the on site restaurant.

The neighborhood wasn't really family friendly and the hotel was under renovation, which it is really in need of. If traveling with kids like us (15 yr old son) we wish we'd had chosen a different neighborhood. The air did not work so we had to crack the window and use a fan, which seemed to be the best they could do with being booked to capacity. The homeless population is heavy in this area, we learned as we ventured out. So sad.

Valet parking is too expensive, rooms are too small, no workout facility, spa, pool, etc. Overall, very expensive for what we got.

Only one bell hop and I really needed help. Got to room and the armoire was broken and couldn't get open to hang my dreseses. Some lights did nt work. There were many electrical outlets but only half worked! Need to call for ice to be delivered and seem short on staff. Signs say Under Construction which was not advised during booking!! However my room on 7th floor was quiet and bed comfortable. Parking is hard and Valet is expensive but it is San Fransisco! There is coffee maker if you can find an outlet that works. They charge a daily resort fee which I saying it is a resort is a reach.

The property is situated in a nice area between high-end shopping district and historical sites. It was easy to navigate to any part of the city from the hotel. The attached restaurant was very good although expensive. We arrived in a room that was on the second floor. We could smell urine and other strange smells coming from the street even though the windows had remained closed. Our bathroom fan didn’t work so black mold was in certain areas, mainly around the tub, ceiling and along the baseboards in the bathroom. The bed was fine, but firm. The icing on the cake was the smell of cat urine on the carpet, which we decided was more than enough to request a room change. The staff was accommodating enough to put us in another room on a higher floor where the smell wasn’t present, but again, the bathroom fan didn’t work and the mold was present again. The property did not offer any amenities outside of the room. Even inside the room, there was a mini fridge and a small outdated flatscreen.

The staff was friendly, helpful and understanding. I wasn’t told by Booking.com that there is no free parking. I had to pay an additional $70 to have my car parked whether I used the valet or not.

Bed was soft for my taste. Hotel smelled of bug spray.
-
The hallways stink, really bad the bathrooms are outdated, I had to upgrade my room, location isn’t all that great, and only has king size beds
-
The location was great, but what really impressed me was how beautiful the hotel is, interior and exterior. Bed was comfy and I heard NOTHING, very very quiet. The staff were very friendly. I wish I could have gotten an early check-in, but I understand that isn't always possible.

The location was alright. The television was broken and I had to call four times for some immigrants to come and brake my things, the toilet stopped working and it was gross in the bathtub! The windows are broken and the cameras don’t work because they come into rooms and poison and steal from guests!!!

The room and the property overall were clean, and the staff was nice The lobby was extremely small, basically just a front desk table. The biggest issue was the air conditioning in our room every hour it started making a loud alarm noise. After a long workday, and with work again the next day plus an early flight, we could not sleep at all. Every time the alarm went off, it woke us up suddenly and caused stress and anxiety. Also, the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom, right in the middle of the room, which was not very comfortable.

Very friendly staff at this charming hotel. The hotel is charming and has a lovely bar and Spanish restaurant. You get a free glass of wine each day. The room was very comfy and I loved how clean and lovely it was. Yes it is in the Tenderloin area (my Uber guy told me)- yet honestly it is right next to Union Square and other nice hotels (Hotel Nikko). I have stayed in many places in SF and this place is lovely! Nothing
