Exceptional property -- beautiful, fun and comfortable rooms. Service is outstanding. Cafe Zuzu never disappoints. Within walking distance from Old Town Scottsdale. Perfect in every way!

Staff was great and location was great. Amazing place overall.
-
Very nice updated room and bathroom. Beds comfortable. Liked having our door space. Restaurant food was also good.

The room was clean and comfortable. The most impressive aspect was the restaurant on site, ZuZu. Delicious food, amazing presentation!

Loved it here will be back for sure!!

It was all the things a hotel should be but I will point out one that that I had never seen before: All the light switches were labeled so you would know what they did and one can turn off all the lights from the bed with one switch. Simple thing, but appreciated.

Beautiful, unique property. Fun, fun, fun bar!!! Bar staff was excellent…live music was a bonus…food was amazing! Nest Caesar salad ever! The gym was excellent and the pools were really nice! Rooms were beautiful…had everything we needed!

My daughter and I stayed here as the finale of a spontaneous mother-daughter Arizona trip and it delivered. The front desk staff were exceptional — greeted us warmly every single time we passed through the lobby. That genuine hospitality made a huge difference. Our main tower room had a pool-view balcony facing east — we caught a stunning sunrise! Beds are low but comfortable. The shower runs extremely hot, so first-timers beware (we loved it). The pool scene is everything — lively, fun, easy to grab lounge chairs even at 100°F+. We lucked into a free Shop & Sip event with wine samples, and ZuZu's Saturday brunch was delicious. The frustration: pool bar closes at 6pm — way too early. After that you're forced inside, but you can't enter wet or in a swimsuit. On a busy Friday night that's a real inconvenience. The pool drinks we did have were weak in both flavor and alcohol. Small notes: towels took 30 minutes, weekend pool drinking requires ID for a wristband, and valet is $30. Overall a stylish, fun Scottsdale stay. Fix the pool bar hours and drinks and this is easily five stars.

Clean room, great staff, nice pool with DJ

Overall, I liked the hotel, especially the room size. But for future families, keep in mind that it's not the best option for families with young children. It's an excellent hotel for adults 👍

This is a beautiful mid century modern decorated hotel with attentive staff, excellent food, well appointed and comfortable rooms, and a gorgeous pool. We have stayed several times and we are always pleased with our stay.

Rooms lovely and comfy beds. Great restaurant in the hotel.

We’re in our sixties. We like hanging out at the pool and getting a beverage or two. The main pool at VH is more suited to a younger crowd: it’s loud, it’s busy, it’s a place to hook up. There’s nothing wrong with the hotel, if you forgive them dirty towels and dingy bedding. Maybe three decades ago this would have been the place, but we’re beyond the Daytona Beach vibe you get at the centerpiece of the hotel. Positives: the A/C was great, the valet service was amazing, and the pool servers were good.

Air conditioning wasn’t very cold

First impression, valet service is excellent. Room was not ready at 4pm check in. The grounds are beautiful. The adults only pool is quiet and enjoyable. Dinner at ZuZu was excellent and priced well. We recommend the brookie with all the toppings for dessert. Room was very nice, clean and cool. You can sit on the balcony after dark when it cools down. Wife loves mid-century style hotels and the Valley Ho provided.

Beautiful property in a fantastic location. The staff were wonderful and made the stay enjoyable. Pool service was minimal, but everything else was excellent. I would happily return.
