Quality Inn South Lake Tahoe

Definitely recommend overall. We stayed for 3 nights and found that our king bed room with the balcony was spacious, clean, and well equipped with a mini fridge and a microwave. The free breakfast was amazing, basically anything you would go out and pay at a restaurant you had downstairs included in your stay. An added plus was the beach vouchers for the nearby private beach that you can ask for daily at the front desk.

Hotel is in a good location and the staff were really nice and friendly. Hotel is older and showing its age. Hotel seems to attract the not so respectful type of crowd. Loud party of drunks on the patio until late at night. Out of control kids in breakfast and hot tub area. Didn’t expect to see the ghetto imported into Lake Tahoe. Not necessarily the hotels fault but if you’re looking for a nice peaceful place to stay you might check other hotels.

The location and beach front was worth the stay. Clean pool, hot tube, and staff.

The hallways were smelled and dirty. The blinds were broken and the room curtains didn’t close all the way.

Room was redecorated nicely but attention to detail just was not there. Asked for room to be vacuumed and musty dust bag smell was bad. No housekeeping at all done for 3 days 2 nights. Single king bed room only had 2 skimpy bath towels 2 hand towels. Had to use both to dry off. Common areas walls, carpeting, stairs doorways were well worn and dirty. Outside was fading and peeling paint overflowing garbage cans. Who knows when windows were last washed. Outside smoking area was littered with cigarette butts. Parking was tight maneuvering and limited 3 story building was an annex across a busy street from the main hotel and breakfast area. Very busy and had to wait for tables to open up and no real clean up until end of breakfast hours. Serving counters were littered with spills, used plates crumbs waffles and syrup drippings etc. Will not consider this facility or Quality Inn brand again.

The place needs an upgrade. I should've paid to stay at the Caesar Republic. Basically an upscale Motel 6, but overall, I guess it wasn't that bad.

Only stayed one night but we found everything to be great! Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and breakfast had a nice variety and lots of it! Distance to the lake was walkable but just know it was downhill to get there and the uphill to get back. Definitely would stay again!

The staff was amazing, the breakfast and lake amenities were terrific. Our room bathroom is in need of an update, specifically the shower tub. And the restroom off the gym was absolutely disgusting. I don’t feel as if it was checked regularly. It was a Friday afternoon and looked very neglected. I’m thankful I didn’t have children with me.

nothing to like about property. shower is next to tv in main room. very big step to get into room. This is a serious accident waiting to happen. no anti-slip mat in shower. another accident waiting to happen. parking is terrible and cramped. elevator acted like it was going to stop between floors. breakfast was very cold. Quality Inn company should be made aware of this property. It is terribly managed!

First of all the room didn't look like the shown on picture room and bathroom poor condition old TV, microwave and refrigerator. To me this motel wores than motel 6.

So much dust on the floor. We had 4 people napkins are not enough for one person. We stayed 2 nights they won'r clean the room I have no idea why they won't clean the room.

Had clearly given a note while booking that i do not wish to stay in a room with window facing another building very near by. But this was ignored. The receptionist, on talking to, was unwilling to give me another room, even for the second day of my stay. Maybe, people who book through hotels.com get fitted into the least preferred rooms. The hotel wasn't well kept too. Better to take a room in one of the well kept hotels on the main Lake Tahow strip where the casinoes are present. Good lesson to learn.

Good breakfast

Nice hotel for the price. The room and beds were on the smaller side, but everything was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. There is a pool and a gym, which was great. The breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed our stay.
