bnb+ Secret Base Mejiro - Hostel

Well, it was pretty basic.

The location was very convenient and easy to find. It exceeded my expectations and was surprisingly very compact with everything you needed. The host was there at times and was very helpful. Other guests were also courteous to each other, so there wasn't much noise or mess. Would definitely recommend this to solo travelers, and I would stay here again. If you're tall or not used to cramped spaces, I would recommend you check other places, but other than that, it has all the facilities and amenities you need (at a reasonable price)

It’s 1 minute away from Mejiro station which has the Yamanote line, so it is very convenient. Also the staff is very friendly.

Check in was easy Bed was decent Overall pretty clean Most things required an extra payment 200 yen for a towel, obviously not expensive, but would have been nice if it was included

Great place for a quick spot to sleep. Capsule beds, was lucky enough to get one of the 3 beds some what separate from the others (3) and had no issues with noise or late night guests checking in. Nothing I can think of. I had no issues.

For me, I liked the self check in nature of the hostel as it’s easy to get in and out without much issues. The price was also very good for getting a place to sleep after a long flight to Japan One thing that can be a deal breaker for people is the lack of a centralized AC unit in the hostel. Each bed does have a plug in fan that helps keep things cool, but it would be nice for a centralized AC unit

No staff.The mattress was too thin. The toilet/bathroom area wasn’t cleaned for the 3 nights that I stayed there and the toilet smelled bad.

Great location if you intended trips include areas on the yamanote line. There is a water dispenser wich was nice. The mattress was thin, but for some reason resting on wooden planks making it quite lumpy and uncomftrable. Thin is fine but why have uneven wood below?

Stingy with the a/c. Was way too hot to sleep at night and it’s only May.

Great location right next to Mejiro station made it so easy to get around, easy luggage storage, and there was a fairly sociable crowd staying there when I was so was nice to sit and have a chat from time to time The mattress was a bit thin for my liking so it was a bit uncomfortable but that's more of a personal issue and not a reflection on the hostel itself, somewhere to sit and get ready would have been nice especially when you're going to be on your feet most of the day. This is also a walk up with no lift so please be aware if you have heavy bags

The staff is really nice, welcoming and helpful. The place is a bit small so it’s a bit tricky if you got big bags but apart from that it’s clean and really close to the station

Close to a nice area and train station, very quiet spot with good quiet guests Very small chill area, not a problem but during busy times this would get quite congested
