The view from the balcony was spectacular!

The only thing I would say is the maintenance of the rooms at least my room. Some of the cabinets didn't close. They seemed like somebody broke it, and they never fixed it. But, I mean, everything was fine. My cable, there was no signal and my TV, but I was too. That was fine too, no problem. It's not their fault. Thank you very much for your service. Even though my reservation was made like 20 minutes before I arrived, they took care of it. And then no problems, nice place. Look at the other options. They have multiple options. And either one, whatever you choose it's gonna be of your liking.

Great view of the mountains from our room. Room was nice and clean. Worked great for our stay.

Great location for Capitol Reef, very cute little hotel. Next time I’d ensure we had time for the llama and horse encounters!
-
We enjoyed our stay in one of the two bedroom cabins facing the mountain. Was clean and beds were comfortable.

Room was roomy! Slept on the very comfy bed with a perfect pillow. Loved the balcony room with the mountain view! It was amazing to sit outside on the lanai and just stare at the vast mountain range. There was three of us and we couldn't of been happier with our stay at the Capitol Reef Resort.

Beautiful location overlooking Capitol Reef. Great resort with amazing views and different experiences such as bone fires, lama tours and stargazing. Seconds time at this resort and planned to return.

Good location, great view at the back balcony, and the pool and hot tub were really refreshing on the trip. Rooms are a little small and dated, and especially a very small TV in the room. Also, it would also be great if breakfast was included in the rate. It just seems to be kind of silly, as there's a lot of other options around as well.

Great for a quick stay. Loved hot tub and pool

Beautiful views! Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant offered great food. The pool area was nice and relaxing!

We left the back balcony that overlooked the mountains. We used the pool. We liked the location proximity to the park. It would have been nice to have breakfast for an early start.

With pool, rental of TPs and covered wagons to sleep in, great experience for families with young kids and teenagers.

Quick check in. Good sized room. Beautiful views. Just outside the park

The property appears to offer two very different types of accommodations: older rooms and newer renovated rooms. Unfortunately, we were assigned one of the older rooms, which felt more like a dated budget motel than a resort. Aside from some cosmetic paint, the room was worn and poorly maintained, with dirty walls and floors, a deteriorating cabin door, broken curtains, and an overall neglected appearance. Considering the rates charged, the room was not a good value. The pool and hot tub areas were also noticeably dated and worn, making it difficult to understand how this property qualifies as a resort. To management's credit, they offered to move us to another room of the same category. However, after seeing the condition of the property, we decided not to stay for the duration of our planned three-night visit. We requested a refund for the remaining two nights after staying only one night, but management declined based on their 30-day cancellation policy. Ultimately, we chose to leave and find alternative accommodations rather than let the experience negatively impact our vacation. I'm sharing this review so future guests understand that there appears to be a significant difference between the room types offered and can make a more informed booking decision. We would not come back no matter which room they put us in.

Good stay

Capital Reef was the perfect location for our cross Utah journey. The cabin we rented was a tiny house yet was spacious for our group of 5 adults. The staff was wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

Our room was supposed to be ready when we checked in. However, when we entered there was still trash in trash cans and big bag of trash was in the doorway. We were switched to another room. The bed was comfortable, but the room could use some updating. I would use the word "resort" very loosely for this property.
