Older hotel, the elevator didn’t work properly. Room had a musty smell.

Location

Location is a short walk to the beach and Venice pier. The place is a bit dated. The elevator is slow (which they acknowledged with a sign). On warm days the loft part of the suite gets pretty hot and the air conditioning from the lower level doesn’t control the temperature of the loft area (but there is a ceiling fan).

Cute place. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Parking is incredibly convenient and plentiful.

Location near the beach is exceptional! Lots of affordable place to eat around!rooms are clean and comfortable!

what got to me was a very simple request: can you provide a stopper for the tub? could not be fulfilled. offered room switch but we were already unpacked, so a real hassle. Not even an offer to run out and buy a stopper at a local hardware store. Lack of creativity, initiative, and customer service.

Like it was a small hotel. It was a very low key comfortable environment. They did have a problem with the elevator. There are notices posted which let you know it is very,very, slow going down it is moving and you are not trapped. They are working on it.if you saw someone confused standing at the elevator you just let them know what was going on.it opened up alot of conversations between guest. We found it to be a problem that was laughed about.

Nice, simple, clean and close to the beach!

I absolutely loved it. It’s just a few steps down to Venice Beach, and you can easily walk to Abbot Kinney Boulevard with all its cafés, restaurants, and cute shops. Whether it’s a short stroll around the canals, a walk on the beach, or a day at the beach: this place is perfect for it. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated, and very clean. Perfect for a stay in authentic LA.

This small hotel was a gem. With its friendly and accommodating staff (shout out to Alphonso) and its retro/modern decor made it charming. Everything worked well and our room was perfectly clean with great beds for a great sleep! Will definitely stay here again when we visit our family nearby. 👍😊

Exceptional

Staff was warm and inviting. Room was clean with great amenities. Perfect location. This is a must stay. Close to wonderful restaurants and the beach

3rd year we stay here while visiting L. A. the location on Venice Beach is perfect, everything is walkable distance. Hotel is nice, bed is comfortable and staff is friendly. This time we got the free upgrade at the LOFT and it was amazing! Elevator is slow, but I think they can fix it :)
