DoubleTree by Hilton Wilmington, NC

Property itself and room was clean and mostly well maintained. Bathroom had some drainage issues in the shower. The biggest problem here is the lack of security in the parking area. You must pay for parking here and there are no cameras which is a major security issue in a high crime area like this one. Our car was broken into in this lot on this property and there was nothing that could be done due to the lack of cameras and security overall. Unless the property is planning on adding security to address this issue I would not recommend staying here.

Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Front desk was OK. lots of amenities but we did not utilize.

Hotel was great. Except the pool closed ridiculously early and on top of paying for the room they charged for parking. This is not a city location and no other hotel around there charges for parking. For this reason we will not be staying there again.

The hotel is very nice. Updated. Rooms are very clean. The staff was very nice and informative.

It was very clean and the rooms were nice Upon check in I mentioned that bookings.com showed that breakfast was included. The receptionist told me breakfast is not included and that she would speak to her manager and get back to me. Nobody got back to me. I then contacted bookings.com and there was no refund or credit for this which I don't think is acceptable as I had specifically booked a place that included breakfast.

The Doubletree Hilton was fine but nothing amazing for the price. We were required to pay a parking fee of $12 per night in addition to the nightly rate. It was not displayed prominently that I saw when I booked the room. There are plenty of equally nice hotels around that don’t charge that. Buyer beware

Very nice short stay. I should’ve paid attention to the parking but it seems that everywhere in Wilmington, you have to pay for parking. A wonderful time! Will come back.

We stayed for one night and did not have any complaints. Good location if you are staying in Wilmington. Close to everything.

Great hotel, clean and comfortable.

Stayed for one night, loved the warm cookies welcome gift. The lobby was clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly, I had an issue with my key and was able to meet with maintenance right away. My room for the most part was as pictured. I checked for any remanence of bugs and was glad to not have found any. The room was clean. However, the bathroom had prior guests hair in the shower and all over the floor. The toilet seat also could’ve used some attention. I didn’t complain to the front desk about it. The morning of checkout I was getting dressed and I heard a knock at 9:40. I then heard a knock across the hall which got my attention because I thought something was wrong. When I peaked out the door, the housekeeper was standing at the door about to enter. I asked “what did she need” and she said “to clean the room”. I told her “checkout is at 11” she asked “how much time will I need” so I answered “until 11”. I don’t understand if checkout is at 11 why is someone coming to the door an hour and 20 mins early? Not only that, what if I was asleep and didn’t answer would she have come in while I wasn’t conscious. I think if that’s their norm they need a different policy.

It was a very clean hotel with a great staff. I will definitely be back.

Best hotel in Wilmington NC and just a couple minutes to get to Wrightsville Beach, I want to leave this review because I spent 3 nights here and I have zero regrets about it, the hotel is nice, clean and noise free! Everyone was nice and helpful, they even have a Starbucks inside the hotel which is awesome. I definitely recommend it and whenever I go to Wilmington I will for sure stay here again. Thank you for making my vacations safe and comfortable!

Would have loved an outdoor pool and free parking.

Great stay. Clean, spacious room with comfortable beds. Plenty of amenities on property. Only downside is having to pay to park on property.

Exceptional

Very good location, not far from Wrightsville Beach. Close to Target/Walmart and shopping. Will go back.

Cons: the tv didn't work and when we called the front desk to have it fixed they need someone would be to fix it and no one ever came. The shower was clogged up and made it hard to enjoy the shower. There were also a few stains on the furniture and floor.
