Clean room

The room and experience were great! Online checkin was a bit of challenge bc Expedia could not relay the messages from the hotel to me. A quick call to the hotel got what I needed. The room was super clean, convenient to what I needed and very cute. Would stay again, but likely would book direct.

No refund was offered or given because 'we booked through Expedia'.

Small but clean room. Hot showers and decent AC. Good for a quick overnight stay.

Nobody there to check in was a bit unusual but it was manageable. Overall a cute little throw back kind of a motel.

We really just needed a place to sleep for the night, the trip was riding the Little Miami trail. The room was very clean, easy access to uptown Yellow Springs. Ellie's restaurant was perfect for breakfast. The Gulch was the funnest bar

Do not like because we could not cancel on a Wednesday for a Friday night stay because of sickness

The stay was excellent until the morning. I woke up to find we had no cold water and just a drizzle of lukewarm water in place of hot water. There was no way to flush the toilet without cold water.

This is an excellent spot, small and exactly what you need. Great for one person, maybe a couple, but as a singular guest, I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Amenities are simple but quality. The AC was great. Only had one lil bug get in and I put him outside without any further incident! Love the area, the nature, and the people around Yellow Springs. Will definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.

Had a bit of trouble checking in, no one was in the office, apparently it’s all done remote! First room wasn’t cleaned, second room was also not clean and ready! Third time is a charm, it was clean, rooms looked recently renovated and for the price well worth it! There’s not many amenities really, but if that doesn’t bother you it’s a steal!

No key entry. No one on premises. I never got my code to the room. Thank God a staff member had stopped for unrelated business. Very nice. The room was clean. Some things were old but I know they are working on renovating the whole motel but, i.e., bathroom needed completed. New toilets needed. Their's sits may 12" off floor. A high sitter would accommodate all ages. Bed was the worst unless you like rolling to the center into your partner. If the mattress had been replaced during renovation, I would have been happy with the room. Renovations don't bother me but a good bed is important!!

Terrible.

Getting past the stink bugs was different but there is NO ICE on the property. We’ve never stayed at a hotel/motel without. The rooms are extremely small, one rickety desk, an office chair, a wooden chair and two little side tables. There is no space in the bathroom for toiletries- no shelf or anything. The bed was pushed against the wall with the very loud a/c unit running. This was NOT a pleasant stay- even making it worse was the staff (front desk mgr) not the new woman and the price!

Room access was easy.

The building is a 1950’s 12 room strip motel. It is almost like putting lipstick on a pig. The bathroom door in room ten has a loose hinge. The small desk in the room is unstable. The was no microwave. The electronic door lock system needs some fine tuning as I was locked out of our room on three occasions and needed front desk and maintenance assistance. It should be noted that staff was very responsive. Dining at the hotel for breakfast was a disappointment. It took a long time to place an orders and an even longer time to be served. The omelette I ordered ended up being dry and gummy, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for several minutes. I could have understood the wait time issue had the place been busy but there were only three other tables in use by patrons. Staff seemed unconcerned and not very responsive when I commented about the service. It should be noted that the dining room and lobby area was wonderful. We originally planned to dine at the hotel later for dinner but because of our less than happy experience with breakfast decided to go elsewhere.

This is my new favorite place to stay, it was beautiful. That it isn’t enough room to bring my two adult children along with me next time.

A very cute remodeled, motel just outside of an adorable town. Everything was clean and we had access to extra towels and coffee. I would've just liked to have had control of my heat. It got rather warm so we were just able to turn on the air. It was very quiet and quaint. I would return.

I absolutely loved everything about this little motel, especially where it was located! One thing that was frustrating was that my code to enter never worked and I had to call the main office to open the door every time I needed to get in.

Room was clean. It had plenty of towels, a coffee maker and fridge. Just what someone needs without all the extras. Easy to get to Downtown Yellow Springs. Also close to several hiking trails. I liked the keyless entry. Female, solo traveler and I felt safe while there. Will return again
