Baymont by Wyndham Chicago/Alsip

Tv is much smaller than images show. Bring an air freshener. Expect long waits and very little assistance from staff. Beds were very stiff but there were clean sheets. Noticed fruit flies coming from drains once we arrived.

The low star rating is directly because of management at this property. I drive all over the continental US and stay at hotels in most states. $50 incidental fee and not allowing the card that the room was booked under, to pay the fee is ridiculous. So they tell you to use cash only then it's $100. The hotel itself is great. Staff also.

Dirty specially carpets smell tribble , if plan to take shower need to hold your breath its cold i told the reception. Told me we have only 2 boilers so they know the issue didnt do any thing about it ….bad service !!! One of the worst i cant even call it a motel !!!!!

The electricity went out (yes I know it’s not their fault, but also not mine). They wouldn’t even call the GM to ask about giving me my money back for the next 3 nights that I prepaid for. I had to call corporate and they transferred me. It was stressful and ridiculous! We stay there every year for summer smash. Never again!

When we arrived for check-in the hotel looks old from the outside, it had windows screens laying on the floor. Inside was old and not as pictured. The receptionist then tells us that they had no electricity since the day prior and that they didn’t know when it was going to be back on. She said we wouldn’t have hot water either. An email or call the day before would have been nice so we could have looked for another room. Everything close by was booked due to the festival and we ended up having to pay a lot more for another hotel, it was very stressful.

Dated wasn’t what I expected. Jacuzzi tub very old. 3rd floor toilets were weak.

This was not how we wanted to spend our time in Chicago.

Very nice but limited breakfast and almost got kicked out for waiting 30 minutes before check in time but otherwise they were nice.

Hotel was very dated. Dirty bathroom. AC didn’t work very well. Long check-in process. Breakfast didn’t have very many options. No fresh fruit no scrambled eggs. No yogurt not very well. Stocked. Had a few slices of toast in a couple bagels.

I missed having a restaurant/lounge onsite.

Breakfast was meager, even for a hotel breakfast. Common areas have a lingering smoke odor and everything outside the lobby has an appearance of age and wear. Thought we were getting a great deal, but it seems we got what we paid for.

The price is feasible.

The facility was old, outdated and rusting in some areas.

We stay at the Baymont Every time we come to visit! Staff is great! Breakfast is good ! I just wish the hallway towards the end of the hotel has a bad smell! That are just needs some TLC! Besides that one thing, it’s a 9 out of 10
