We love that it is a safe space to take a walk after a long day of driving.

One thing was the carpet was sticky and very dirty… everything by else was amazing and I love the office lady Dee

Great rooms. We'll kept, seem newly remodeled. Beds were very comfy. Stand was very friendly & helpful.

Convenient and inexpensive

We stayed one night as we were passing thru in our RV. Good RV parking. It’s a motel. Nice stay for the money.

Loved it! Matched the theme of the restaurant and a reminder road trips and roadside hotels of days gone by. That shower head was top notch. Rooms were clean but worn. Shy on plugs.

Loved how fun this place was! Only bummer was the wait time for dinner at the steak ranch! But everything else was great!

Disgusting. Dirty and run down. Smelled like it’s never been cleaned. Will never stay again. Love the restaurant though!

the property is rustic and fits well with the theme of the Big Texan properties. Our room was clean and well appointed. Staff was very helpful. We will likely stay here again when we are in the area for an overnight in the Amarillo area.

Nice little place, pet friendly with a small dog park. Clean and a good night sleep.

The motel and rooms are super fun and felt like classic 'Texas'. Check-in was super easy and we had a great stay.

Fun and clean place to stay

We stayed at the Big Texan on our last night of an extended road trip. It was what we had expected - delightfully kitschy. It isn’t the most new and modern property, but our family will definitely remember this motel the most from our trip. If you stay here, you have to go have a steak dinner at the big Texan steakhouse across the parking lot. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and our only disappointment was that the Texas shaped pool wasn’t open.

I enjoyed our stay. Room was really clean and comfortable. I loved the decor, would stay here again.

There was no staff available in the mornings or during the day. Only at check-in time. There was no housekeeping unless you requested it and the pool was dirty. The rooms were worn down and the carpet was filthy. The beds were just OK. I would never recommend anybody to stay there. The only good thing about it was the close proximity to the steakhouse.

I was somewhat surprised by no phones in the rooms, but everything lived up to its reputation. Best if all was when front desk staff went above and beyond in managing to get a room downstairs for my elderly father. If you have never been to the Big Texan, please give them a try.

It may not be brand-new or fancy, but that is part of its charm. Very good value, memorable, and definitely recommended.
