This is a family oriented hotel. They have great amenities for kids. Unfortunately, it was on the loud side. The rooms and building are very dated. They have done a good job in making it look nice, however, our room was pricey for the condition. The free breakfast was not good. We had to go somewhere else. The staff was friendly and no wait time to check in.

Most well planned, good time focused hotel we stayed at. My wife and kids loves the Pool and Breakfast, I enjoyed the privacy and atmosphere.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 or 4 times now, it just gets better and better as they keep renovating and adding things for the kids to do. The breakfast Kayla made was awesome, my kiddo with autism came back for seconds which is a feat with how much he won’t touch. The eggs, sausage and potatoes she made were amazing! The hotel already had mini golf, an indoor pool and places to sit and watch and have now added bounce houses, playgrounds, arcade, a slide from the second story to the first and fresh baked cookies since we were here last.

Property was so pretty and so much to do for families! Rooms little outdated, mainly bathroom, but was not bad at all. Would definitely stay again!

Our room did not have

This is such a unique hotel! They are in the process of remodeling, so there is some things that aren't perfect. But the stay was amazing!
-
Cute hotel with a clean, comfortable room. There was some remodeling in progress during our stay, but it wasn't a major issue. The only downside was that we had to leave by 6:30 a.m., and the continental breakfast didn't open until 7:00 a.m., so we weren't able to enjoy it.

Room was comfortable. Attached restaurant was outstanding.
-
The location The room was outdated and the whole floor had construction on it
-
The staff was nice; however, the rooms need to be updated and the room doors need to be more secure/safer. Also, the yellow and green slides are not safe.
-
The amenities are a fun idea, and I can't wait until they're done with the remodel. But know that some of the rooms have not been remodeled and are not what is advertised. We were transported back to the 90s. ;)
-
The staff was good but the room trim was unfinished and the bathroom silicone was unfinished around the shower. Bed was comfortable but the power outlets did not all work so it made it hard to charge phones.
-
Not really suited for dogs as no grass on premises. Limited parking due to events and cowboy bar attached. Felt a little unsafe with all the warning signs regarding vehicle content theft potential. Breakfast was ok.
-
Hotel room was not very clean, especially the bathroom area. There were gnats and other bugs in the room. The hotel is old and outdated and is being remodeled. The listing should indicate that renovations are being done.

I think it’s great that Cactus Cove offers this type of hotels for families, I was one of those families back in the day. My room was comfortable and quite for the most part, I wasn’t to impressed with the options on the tv but if I was a guy with small children, that would be great.

It was a place to stay on our way through Amarillo. But as a woman traveling alone, I was slightly uncomfortable. Would have felt better with a stronger front desk presence and screening of traffic through the front door. Seems like just about anyone can and does walk through.

Always enjoy staying here.
-
Very rundown. Not at all what I expected
-
I thought it was very cute and the surroundings would and could be cute for people that would enjoy drinks, activities and music. We were just tired. Staff was great!!! Front desk to housekeeping

The biggest thing I wish I would have seen in the reviews was that every room has a big glass door and windows on each side entering the room. They do have big wooden blinds to black out the windows, but I was highly surprised for the glass door and windows.
