Clean, dated, nothing special.

It is a 4 star hotel and it wasn’t up to my expectations. The continental breakfast was mediocre at best.

Very convenient

our room that night and again at 2 AM in the morning we were told no other rooms were available. We were moved to another room the following day. As well as heard quest in nearby rooms complain of the same. The outside parking lot as well as the side entrance is in need of repair. There are multiple potholes. The side entrance, the stairs are cracked and there is no side railing other than the one coming up the steps. If someone was to lose their balance, there is nothing to stop them from falling a good 3 feet off to the side. Both the parking lot and side entrance is an accident waiting to happen. Bar area had people (not hotel guest) just hanging out on the couches watching a game. No drinks in their hands just hanging out. Several guests did question this since they were loud and obnoxious. The last time I stayed here the hotel was so much nicer cleaner and safe. This would not be a recommend Hotel. As a retired Hotel Reviewer, I would definitely fail this Hotel.

Love this hotel and will be back! Clean and friendly! Only things I wish they had was a place to do laundry in the building and a microwave in the room but neither of those things will stop me from staying here when I am visiting Chicago!

Staff was mostly friendly. The balcony was nice.

I was surprised how vintage the room felt for it being a Double Tree by Hilton. Online (via orbitz) said it came with complementary breakfast but I was charged for it. One of the few things I enjoyed was the TV. It had an option to connect my personal Youtube and Netflix accounts (most hotels just provide local news channels).

Very good

Staff was not helpful, it seems the overall attitude of everyone at Front Desk was “I’m doing you a favor”. Shuttle to Airport is only every 2 hours and not available later at night. Breakfast only available for purchase, and that’s okay, but it wasn’t clear during the search or reservation process.

I will say this. The hotel, the room, the amenities were definitely 4 to 5 star easily. Thw front desk staff member who checked me in my first night which was Tuesday May 26, 2026 around 4pm to 5pm. She was amazing. Along with the shuttle driver Rocko. Outstanding. After that day, the front desk staff was the worst. The daytime lady had attitude for days. She wasn't very helpful. She seemed disinterested in communicating. Then there was a different women at night from the 1st lady I dealt with. She I believe was Asian. Attitude was crazy. I ask for a cookie, and she seem like she was reluctant to give it to me. They need retraining on communicating with the occupants. Attitude adjustments. Arturo who was our shuttle driver when we left was great also. Also the building lost power twice while we stayed there. I will not be returning there. My recommendation. Train staff using the book "Inside the magic kingdom" by Tom Connellan. And last but not least, the shuttle schedule needs to be revamped and more frequent.

Very nice hotel. Clean, quiet, safe. Lovely stay.

Also, my daughter found a bed bug in her room. We were not happy with overall experience.

This is an older hotel with nice cosmetic updates and clean spaces. The exercise room has nice free weights and all that is needed to get a good workout, including treadmills and other machines, although the elliptical machine wasn't working this morning. The complimentary morning coffee was good and smooth. The front desk has helpful staff and there is a restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner. For interest, beds are soft (always too soft for me, but many like it that way) and baths have complimentary soaps and shampoo. Water pressure was good. Elevator is slow! I enjoyed the patio that seems to be forgotten and not advertised. My daughter enjoyed the indoor pool for a few short laps.
