Holiday Inn National Airport/Crystal City by IHG

When i got there, everything looked OK. No issues, I was there for a conference so there was two things I absolutely needed: coffee and an iron/ ironing board. The coffee was there but no cups.. when I went to iron my clothes the ironing board was broken..I called the front at 730a and asked for both things, they said I'll let housekeeping know but they don't get in until 8a... right when my conference starts.. Great.. went there without caffeine and slightly ironed clothes. It took the next day to get me the two things. Who has no housekeeping until 8a?? They said, oh you can come down to get cups. Then whenever I went in or out there was a ton of national guard there. Probably not the hotels fault but it was tough to get through each time, didn't look forward to it

Breakfast to expensive for what is served but other than that a great experience.

Good stay. Here for work. Suited my needs.

Furniture was a little worn in the room (206) , and the tub/shower didn’t function properly and it was a VERY slow drain. I didn’t report it because it was late in the evening when I discovered the tub issue, had already unpacked and was working remotely out of my room. I didn’t feel like switching rooms or having engineer in the room while conducting virtual meetings. Otherwise the staff was exceptional, friendly and accommodating.

We stayed for a quick trip to DC. Perfect place for it.

The bathroom ran out of soap.

Easy check in & out, room was clean with comfortable bed. Great access to subway & bus lines and hotel shuttle from airport was quick.

The location is good: 5-10 minutes from the airport on the half hourly shuttle and about 15 minutes walk from Crystal City subway. The room was spacious. Bed comfortable. Good storage, Wi Fi and shower. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast: good choices. Food OK. 1: Generally quiet other than when the cleaners working in the next room. The lobby area is noisy due to "background" noise. 2: Sometimes, a long wait for a lift.

The staff was wonderful! The hotel was very clean and well maintained.

The first thing that hits you about the room is the smell - like a wet dog. Feels like they overzealously cleaned the carpets at some point, and the carpets never dried properly. The crumbling base of the pressboard desk is evidence of the same, and the fixtures in many cases are broken (e.g. the outlet in the wall next to the desk, outlets and sketchy ethernet port built into the desk). The fridge is a sad little college dorm affair. The bearings in the bathroom fan are on their last legs - the fan roars when running. The lighting is a cold medical-grade white. The concession stand in the lobby is a depressing homage to Frito-Lay. Other than that, fantastic!
