The ambience was amazing. The staff and environment was awesome. Ask about the history. There were minor repairs/upkeep that would make a big difference

People, family owned always a win! TV was a bit of a challenge for me-

The hotel is such a hidden gem, everything was connected on the inside so you didn’t need to walk outside, but everything was still spaced out enough to walk through the restaurant to the spa, which helped since it was cold as ever. When we’re booking a massage for the spa, it wasn’t explained once we confirmed the booking for the room and spa that we needed to arrive by a certain time because the spa closes. We made it just in time for my moms to make it to her birthday massage but was unaware we needed to hurry to the jacuzzi spa ourselves. We missed out on the jacuzzi spa experience but we will be better prepared whenever we return

I have never stayed at Mario’s before, but your lodging is absolutely five star!! Do not change a thing, quite lovely experience

Location was great for the event I was attending nearby. A quick 5 min drive. The town had everything one needs on the road, including EV charging nearby. The hotel itself was a bit dated inside but quiet, clean, and comfortable. Staff was helpful and very friendly. The hotel still uses "old school" keys for the doors. Electronic locks and card keys would be a great upgrade.

The inn is historic and very charming. Great for those who appreciate the atmosphere of a “non-chain” hotel. I found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. The only point of improvement I would suggest is better lighting for the outdoor walkway and parking. I felt quite un-easy walking to and from the entrance in such dim lighting. Poor outdoor lighting.

The hotel Room was a nice size, we liked the decorations and Resteraunt was nice.area was good. Hotel was definitely dated and didn't have very many amenities for the price,no fridge , microwave or Coffee pot as we eat out alot and have left overs or water ext. there is only 1 way in and out and lots of stairs of your on 3rd floor so don't pack alot we usually do in case. apon arrival our sink was clogged and toilet had a leak and flushed very slow as we told management it didn't seem to be a big deal it definitely is when your paying that much money we told someone at the desk and she was supposed to tell management and didn't, apparently she got called to work somewhere else ,once we notified him we were told it had to be snaked and I don't know what with toilet but we had already unpacked all our personal belongings and didn't want the intrusion while we were in or out of our room. there was never an offer of a small Compensation or a little off dinner, we have to go all the way to the back restaurant to get a cup of coffee. We have stayed several places similar . we were really excited and decided not to get spa services and pay more when already they clearly didn't care about our plumbing issues with only 14 rooms it should never have been a problem. or comfortably was not important we will not be joining again as my Husband could of brought alot of business to them you never know who's staying at your property so take care of all your customers.

Room decor. My room could be cleaner. There was no fridge, microwave or water boiler. The noise from other rooms doors slamming from activities downstairs (the restaurant) were disturbing.

All staff, from the lovely people at the desk to the chefs and waitresses were professional and friendly. They provided excellent service.

I loved how secluded the hotel was. I loved our room, loved the spa robes and the technicians at the spa were very professional and friendly.

Meals at the Cabin were exceptionally tasty! Our room was warm and comfortable, many amenities , many places for quiet reflection within the resort and exceptionally friendly staff members! They made our stay one to remember! There were no disappointments! Our spa experiences, our meals at The Cabin, and our accommodations at the resort were all amazing!!

Loved it. Gave me the “the shining” feeling. The Jacuzzi in our room was amazing , the food omg wow. Top notch $$ well worth spent Will come back Our room was on the top floor. Going up and forth on stairs qas tiring when ur buzzed and u gotta smoke some green or smoke a cigarwttw lol That’s just a petty thing I can’t use it to say I don’t like it. Heh

Liked the old style once you come in to the hotel. Decorated nicely. Gives relaxing vibes

The Cabin restaurant decorations. No longer serv breakfast. It added value for the customer even though it was on the pricy side. I was told Corp didn't want to pay for staff in the a.m. after covid. I was asked the day of my stay to change my plans and come earlier for my scheduled couples massage. I gave my gift card numbers over the phone to book our massages, but was told when we got there that we physically needed them to swipe. I had pics of the cards on my phone sent from my daughter since we no longer had time to go home after work. Now I need to drive a hour back to the spa to get reimbursed the $495. My massage was great, but my wife has been in pain for two days after from hair pulling at the base of her skull. It took two hours to get dinner once we sat down. 20 mins to get a diet coke. It was kind of incredible so we stayed to see how the dinner would end. It ended with uncooked cold food and a bill for almost $200 for two people. I'm 53 years old and the worst tasting food experiance is also the most expensive. The table next to us waited even longer.
