SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Bettendorf

Locks on outside did not work. Bed sheets were stained.

I do not recommend this property. I can handle “run down”, but this hotel was far worse than that. Bedding was gross and stained. Carpet felt nasty to your feet. Everything was dirty. We spoke with an agent from Expedia for a refund and packed our clothes and left. Expedia should not post a hotel in this condition on its website. The pictures were totally misleading.

No continental breakfast, no pool, no hot tub. The website states these are on site and its a lie.

If I could give a negative review I would! This hotel is very misleading! It was dirty, the beds didn’t have a fitted sheet on them. The comforters were stained. The halls smelled like wet dog, human pee, and booty! The room didn’t smell. Our wall had boogers on it! SOMEONE BROKE THE CHAIN LINK LOCK COMING INTO OUR ROOM!! Front desk wasn’t bothered to do anything about it when I told them. And when we went to the so called vending machine my chips were over a year expired and was told they couldn’t do anything about it. The only positive thing was the beds were extremely comfortable. But other than that I will never stay at another best western of any kind ever again!

The staff was very friendly and nice. Seems like the mattresses were replaced relatively recently, but those were the only two positive things about this place. The whole first floor smelled like strong urine the first 2 days we stayed here. We couldn't turn on the AC, despite it being 87F and humid outside, because the smell came out of the vents. We were informed that cleaning staff hadn't shown up and after this, the smell in the hallway improved but the air coming from the vents was still awful - I don't even want to know what or where the smell was from. Didn't use it, but the pool looked suspiciously bubbly/foamy when we walked past. The entire stay (4 nights), the wifi did not work at all. Don't expect much from the breakfast.

Room was clean and comfortable. Had to turn on the heater while I was there since it had turned cold. Took a while for it to warm up. It was convenient to everywhere I needed to go and the breakfast was better than expected with a pancake making machine, scrambled eggs and sausage etc. A nice surprise

My room had bed bugs I woke up in the middle of the night itching. Went to front desk to show bugs in the bed and change rooms at 2 in the morning. Terrible

Both the room and the Entryway stunk. The front doors were filthy!! went to the room where we found two spiders. When I saw the one run, that's when I knew we would not be staying. The air filter in the bathroom was clogged with gunk. I left within 5 minutes of checking in.

It smelled

The room were all dirty, I talked to the Sam the person in charged that night and we looked at a different room and it was dirty as well. The Sam said he will refund my stay since he didn’t had any clean rooms however they never processed the refund. When I reached out to hotels.com they said they reached out manager and he didn’t want to approve the refund. I had to pay for a different hotel and still payed for this one. I will never stay on this hotel ever again.

Nice clean room and front staff courteous.

The hotel was dirty. Sheets and beds were messy. There was a horrible dirty smell throughout the property. Breakfast area was also dirty. Pool was closed, probably for the better! Everything!
