An amazing hotel, clean and well run. Location is excellent for downtown , museums, parks and restaurants. You won’t be able to stay in anything like this magnificent building so give it a stay. You won’t be disappointed.

The location was great. It took a lot longer than it should have which staff explained so we understood the why.

Beautiful building. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.

The fitness center is small with only a few treadmill working, a decent dumbbell selection (up to 50lbs pair) and medicine ball, and a multi-pin loaded machine for workouts. It’s functional for a vacation workout. Though it does get tight when more than 3 people are in the space trying to get an exercise in. The bar is also great and if you’re lucky enough to have Nat as your bartender, you’re in for a charismatic and personable treat. She makes a great drink and is so attentive to what you need. She even remembers her regulars that go there and our drink and food choices when we went again the next day. She ran that bar like a boss and her customer service is top notch! I would go back to stay at Hotel Richardson or really just to go to bar if Nat is my bartender. In addition to this, the food is also surprisingly good! The pizza crust, the dessert brownie, and also the crispy buffalo wings and sauce are “chef’s kiss”.

The facility itself is beautiful with an interesting history. The rooms were pleasant and the Bar / Lounge staff were very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was adequate, but the waiting staff were really accomodating. I recommend this place highly!

The hotel was beautiful the room was amazing and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again especially with the price so reasonable. I wish the area was a little better built up. A lot of businesses closed but the grounds of hotel and restaurant inside made up for it. Plus easy drive to amazing areas. Thanks for a special girls night

The bath tub was not working. When I told the clerk at departure, he only said that he would report it to maintenance. No apologies. There was no refrigerator in the room

This is not a casual hotel, it's a museum. You contribute to the fund to preserve an historical monument. As such, there are some concessions to be made, but overall, it's a great experience. Parking is free and great, location is unbeatable for the AKG. Rooms are tall, quiet, and confortable. My air conditioning worked well, but the fan was a bit noisy. You live on a campus near a psychiatric hospital, which could make some people uneasy. There were ants in my room, but I left blueberries on the desk. Once the blueberries were removed, the ants were gone. I did see a falcon with its prey on top of a car in the parking lot, so there's that. No mini refrigerator in the room. The dining room is small, and breakfast is not included. Despite the limited choices, food was good.

Hotel itself was nice. Rooms were just OK no refrigerator in the room which I thought was weird. Kind of out-of-the-way

Renovation of the property will be an extensive development, but what is done is a nice boutique hotel & when complete will be a destination to behold.

Loved it. We initially entered the property the wrong way and it took us a minute to figure out where to park and enter, but we got it figured out.

This is a fine hotel. The only issue is the food. Breakfast is only ok, no good coffee.

The hotel is beautiful and the beds were comfy. I wouldn't say I didn't like anything. I was nervous about sleeping in an old mental hospital. I slept great and would stay again.
