Everything was just what we needed for a restful night on our road trip. They even have our dog some treats.

The place was very dog friendly, had a great breakfast, was right off the freeway, and access to downtown was very close. It is a older hotel, but for the price and how cheap it is for the dog fee highly recommend compared to the more expensive hotels around the area.

This place should’ve never been rented out and should never be open while they’re doing construction like they were doing

The hotel is easy to find and is very clean. We enjoyed our stay at the Guest Inn.

We really enjoyed our night stay with having Outback and a gas station nearby. We had everything we needed after an exhausting 13 hour drive!

The check-in staff yesterday was great, but the check-out staff today (6/20/2026) wasn't very friendly at all -- in fact he was bordering on rude. The only real downside is that there's an active freight train track across the road from the hotel, and if you're facing the street, you'll definitely hear the train. I'm hearing impaired, so this wasn't a problem for me. If I'm in the area again, I'd probably stay here, but hopefully I'd get a different person on the desk when I check out.

Room was clean and bigger fridge was very nice. Only problem was the TV came on and off throughout the night like possessed. They said they check it out. Comfy beds though! Liked it was pet friendly! Id still stay again!

Pretty property; disgruntled owner; check-in at 4:00 but check out 11:00 (they "have a very small staff"). The laminated manifesto in the room says you can try to reach her ("I do sleep - sometimes"); (I'm "very busy with paperwork"). She's tired of smokers (she'll "smell it - I promise") and charge you $200. She's probably cleaned up a lot of barf (it is Deadwood, close to Sturgis, after all), so if you don't make it to the toilet or trash can, she'll charge you $250. There's no ice machine, but she'll sell you a bag.

Wonderful find on a road trip for our family of four. The Guest Inn is clean, the staff are so friendly, and breakfast was just right. Will stay here again.
