The hotel I should at motel is very very old. Bathroom is very very small pillows are horrible the room itself was extremely dirty. The door to the room was not sealed all the way around we had to put towels at the bottom of the door. Bathroom has no vent fan. I could go on and on. Please do yourself a service and do not book here. Only reason was semi okay was it is very close walk from solider field

Our suite was not ready by check in time. Finally, got into room after telling front desk we would be asking to cancel reservation and get full refund. One of the two elevators did not work. Room & hotel was old and dated. Our pull out sofa bed also had a disgusting stain on it. Would never stay here again.

Lobby is clean for the most part. Thank goodness for the pastry restaurant nxt door. The reviews that I read on this venue were obviously false or I would hv stayed nxt door. If ur looking for cheap and down town this is it. No amenities except clean towels. There was clearly mold growing somewhere in the bathroom u could smell stronger and stronger everyday. Very small rooms yet u could see the fireworks at night at the lake from room 910 if that matters. Windows were rusted not sure air conditioning was even working properly and im sure it was blowing mold as well. We turned it off and only used when it was absolutely necessary. We will not b returning and should’ve spent the few extra bucks and stayed at the Hilton nxt door with all the amenities that this property said it had.

Bathtub did not drain properly

Great location and convenient for the Field Museum. Wonderful staff. Room was clean, bed comfortable. The vanity in the bathroom could use some paint and the carpet was a little shabby but over all a good stay.

Good location, water and coffee available at the lobby is always good!

Great location! Helpful door men and security. Front desk manager that checked me in was not mean or rude but definitely not welcoming or friendly. Property pictures on the Hotels.com website are 100% not accurate. Not even close. The Property was very basic and not well maintained. If the rate reflected the reality I would have no complaints but I paid premium rates and was disappointed with what that got me. Again great location!

Beautiful perfect location

Dated but clean. Great location to many local attractions. Many within walking distance. L train is only a block and 1/2 away. Good dining and shopping in area. One downside is sketchy parking options.

Staff great. Room was dated, worn. Paint chipping, water damage throughout bathroom. Poor lighting. Out of date tv services. WiFi gave out. No breakfast. Parking lot full, could not accommodate guests. AC great.

Great location to the museums! Parking was expensive but everywhere to park in Chicago is ridiculous. At least you get valet for the price and it’s super quick and efficient. Hotel is older and could use some updating but overall it was a great value. Will stay again!

The only good thing about this place is the location, besides that you basically get what you paid for. Service desk/lounge is probably the cleanest of the whole building. The elevators are tiny/dirty, the hallways look rundown with dirty carpets and stains on the walls, bottom of your room doors are worn out so it's not completely closed(the crevice is pretty significant, noticed it's like that with all the doors) so had to put towels in between to close it to make sure nothing gets in. The bathroom doesn't have a fan so it stays humid after showers and attracts cockroaches (found 3 small ones while there), the bed was decently clean with some hairs on it, and the AC unit is so loud that it's hard to sleep while it's on and it's gets hot quickly when off. Never going back again and definitely would not recommend.

There was a Paris Baguette downstairs which guests could get a 10% discount with their room key.

On checkout the girl in front couldn’t give me a receipt/itemized bill bc I was checking out early. I had to ask for manager to complete this simple task. The free coffee was a nice perk though !

Check-in was simple enough. The AC was too noisy to use. The toilet didn't flush properly. The shower dripped all night long. The mattress was like a rock. There was no pod-tray in the coffee machine, so it was unusable. The fridge door was broken. The TV reception was appalling. There was no water in the vending machines. Only one elevator worked, at one point it was so busy it took almost half an hour just to get out of the building, it was only meant for 6 people but there were 9 people crammed into it, which is not safe. There was coffee in the lobby but it was cold and there was no decaf option. The only food on the premises are a massively expensive French bakery, which is edible at least, and a Chinese restaurant, but the food wasn't good there. No breakfast. Valet parking is over $50 per night, All in all we paid over $1000 for two nights in this dump. The facilities at the Motel 6 in Elk Grove are vastly superior and it's only a fifth of the price, even on a bad day. The time you save by staying in the city center is wasted just trying to get in and out of the building with the busted elevators. Don't stay here unless you hate yourself.
