I stayed at this hotel from June 5–8. The rooms are quite old and could benefit from renovation, which was disappointing given the price and expectations. When checking in, I specifically asked about the security deposit and was assured that it would be returned in full after my stay. However, only part of the deposit was refunded, with a portion remaining charged for unknown reasons. I have tried to contact the hotel on several occasions to request an explanation, but more than a week later I have still not received any response. The issue itself is less concerning than the complete lack of communication and customer service. Overall, the outdated rooms and poor handling of a simple customer inquiry left a negative impression.

Excellent location in downtown Chicago, within walking distance from several CTA stations and many restaurants and bars. The Bean and the Riverwalk and the Navy Pier are also easy to reach on foot. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. I especially loved the large bed and daily housekeeping. One feature I really like about CQ hotels in general is that the rooms tend to be larger than many other city-center hotels, and this property was no exception. Another great touch was the free filtered water stations on each floor, along with reusable bottles available for guests. There is also a great restaurant Elephant&Castle directly connected to the hotel, which make it easy to grab a bite or a drink without even going outside - the weather on one of the days of my stay was awful and I was glad I didn't have to step into the rain even for a second). The soundproofing could definitely be better - you can hear noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms like it's right next to you. I also experienced issues with noisy neighbors late at night - they were partying and playing loud music. While the front desk was polite and eventually helped resolve the situation, it required multiple requests before the noise stopped (and the hotel phone in the room didn't work, so I had to go downstairs every time). My biggest disappointment came after checkout, though. The security deposit was eventually returned, but communication regarding the refund process was very slow. It took 5 days of emails (to every possible email address I could find) and follow-ups before I received a response and the information I needed (only after I contacted the Booking support and they reached out to the hotel). While this did not affect the quality of the stay itself, it left a negative impression of the hotel's post-stay customer service.

Walkable Location to just about everything local. If walking is not your thing the “el” is steps away. Took the train from MDW to Quincy station, walked less than two blocks, $3.00 and 40 minutes.

Great location. Bedroom clean and cosy. The walk in shower was fantastic. We liked the attached pub that served a good menu selection and priced reasonably Poorly located plug sockets and not enough. Hard push for auto check in / out that older clients may not appreciate

Breakfast was great.

Excellent location. Good sized room with decent facilities. Toilet blocked while we were there, but was fixed immediately. Could have provided soap for wash hand basin. Had to make do with shore gel from shower.

Location cleanliness Staff for the check in was non extremely welcoming, maybe they had a bad day. Anyway opposite to the check out staff that was great

The room was clean & staff was friendly & helpful. The walk from the parking ramp was an inconvenience because I am mobility impaired. I made it, but it wasn’t ideal .

Great location for going to the theaters or Art Institute.

It was perfect for a weekend getaway. Good price for a downtown location. Rooms were clean and comfortable A little small and not noise resistant but good otherwise

The room was small and outdated. Clean-ish and no coffee maker,I don’t drink expresso. Parking lot was 3 blocks away but the discount for parking was helpful. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Overall good but the rooms and especially the bathroom was a little small. Good value however
