The Royal Sonesta Chicago River North

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and well decorated. We would come back to stay again and recommend for future visits.

I deliberated for a while about what hotel to get for a few nights in Chicago. Prices at other high end hotels were wild. I ended up getting the king spa suite here and it was honestly nice. It’s surprisingly close to everything. It is an older hotel, but it was clean and nice. The city view was lacking for sure and it felt like we were just staring into an office building. The gym is mostly treadmills and some free weights. The terrace was small but nice to get some fresh air and was on our floor. The staff was nice, bed was comfy and shower was good. It worked for us so we could have a separate living room and bedroom for being able to have some privacy for work calls etc. The tv was a little glitchy and our room phone didn’t work to call the front desk, but overall it was a solid choice. Not luxury, but nice enough. Very walkable and very quick Ubers. The restaurant and bar were also not bad for some quick bites considering I couldn’t figure out if room service was an option since our phone didn’t work. :)

Room was clean. Shower water pressure was great. Bed was really comfortable. Convient location

Super happy with this hotel. Redline right outside the door. East commute to Wrigley. Great shopping and food at every turn. Easy walk to River and lake. Nice pool and rooftop terrace.

We cannot say enough about how great our stay at Royal Sonesta River North was. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! The staff went above and beyond and for that we are so grateful. This was our first time to Chicago and my husband's birthday and we were SURPRISED with an upgrade upon check in. WHAT A THRILL! Thank you so much for making people feel so at home, we ABSOLUTELY would book again the next time in Chicago.

The hotel staff was super nice. Hotel was great! Room was nice! Restaurant was great. The kids said they had the best Belgium waffles they've ever had there. Perfect location within walking distance to lots of restaurants. Also Right next to a subway station. Will stay there again!

Nice location. Paid for early check in at noon, very confusing process but thankful. Hotel was quiet and room was great except the shower which we called a power washer.

The location is very convenient to everything. All attractions are within walking distance. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. The room was spacious and clean. The amenities were great. The front desk lady, Gabby, was professional and always greeted every guest with smiles.

The stay at the Royal Sonesta was nothing short of amazing. The property was clean and with quality amenities. The staff is kind and attentive. Location is ideal. In the center of everything, everything is in walking distance. The restaurant inside was great particularly during Happy hour from 4 to 7 PM. I would definitely come back and recommend.

Staff was awful. Let the door shut in our face on arrival, no one could help with how or who could help with valet. Staff was overall rude and short, and unhelpful.

Great location with clean rooms daily!

Arrived on a Monday for a one night stay for a meeting. Restaurants were all closed in the hotel. Zero food or beverage service. Would not have chosen this hotel had I known that when booking.

Hotel Rooms are often times very indifferent from one another. There honestly wasn't anything to note about the room, other than it was clean and pretty spacious. The separator for us, though, as a family of four with two little kids was the service. Everyone was so extremely friendly. They even had goody bags full of little travel toys for each kid. Extremely hospitable. Would definitely stay here again!
